The difference between the dead person and a living person is the spirit. The spirit of the dead person has already left its physical body whereas the spirit of the living person is still in the physical body.

Did you know there was a time when we would measure or compare a dead person's heart weight to that of a bed of feathers to see how much good they did in their lifetime?

The experiment to see if a person's weight changed at death was done by Dr. Duncan MacDougall in 1907. In one case he got a change of 22 grams but the experiment was not able to be repeated by others who tried so it's not acceptable as science.

Maybe some souls weigh a lot more than others :-)
