@Wilso,
Quote:
He'll fall back on Stalin and Hitler eventually. And will conveniently ignore the facts.

That is meaningless as well Wilso and also a species of fortune telling.

What are these facts which you assert I will ignore? Unlike some on here I don't do ignore.

That is dodging and weaving when no evidence is offered. It was Wilso who mentioned Hitler.

If Adolf was a true Christian I'm the Queen of Sheba..Smile
Same with the IRA, they used to blow up men women and children, then confess to their local catholic priest to make it alright!

@FBM,
But I am not tired of anti-religion posts. They are part of life's rich tapestry.

I assume he means anti-Christian. Which is to say the surrender of patriarchal structures. As he is a beneficiary of patriarchal structures he can only mean the surrender to apply to his male descendents.

A type of blackleg.

FBM posted this Hitler quote- "..our movement is Christian"

Well Adolf would say that wouldn't he, and if people fell for it, more fool them!
It was just typical clever politician-talk, he had his sights set on one day wiping out atheist commie Russia, so by making it sound like a noble Christian Crusade, he knew he'd make Nazism look good in the eyes of the West and gain the moral high ground..Smile

But it's a pity that some atheists let the atheist side down by also attacking JESUS who's nothing to do with org rel and cults!

@Romeo Fabulini,
They only do the simple explanations Romeo.

And the simple explanation is that the atheism is derived from their dick-work and they can't admit it.

God's not some soppy limp-wristed lefty social worker!
If ancient peoples were threatening the stability of Israel he had to do some serious butt-kicking to make sure the place would be reasonably safe for Jesus to be sent to..Smile
It's not a new idea-

God said- "Raise a banner on a bare hilltop, I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath..they come from faraway lands..to destroy the whole country..and destroy the sinners within it" (Isaiah ch 13)

As for tumours and other nasty ailments, why blame God?
For example Jesus said of a crippled woman-
"Satan has bound this crippled woman for eighteen years" (Luke 13:16)

Satan may just be the name for a mass of bad vibes sloshing around the earth disrupting the harmony of the universe and triggering earthquakes, hurricanes, illness and stuff.
Furthermore perhaps he gets his strength from human bad vibes, it's not a new idea- "Whatever the natural cause, sin is the true cause of all earthquakes." - John Wesley (1703 - 1791)

Likewise, 'Forbidden Planet' featured a monster that was given life by feeding off the dark subconscious of Dr. Morbius-

To which Cannanites are you referring? The ones who practiced infant sacrifice? They placed the living infant in the outstretched arms of Moloch, under which burned the sacrificial fire. This, of course, resulted in considerable screaming on the part of the helpless child which the congregates drowned out by singing and use of tambourines. Perhaps that is the deeper meaning.

So then, the deeper meaning is that you avenge the slaughter of infants with the slaughter of women and children?

That's nothing. He drowned almost every human and animal on the planet once, just because he'd produced such flawed humans.
