@Olivier5,
You don't employ logic, you have no reasoning powers and you employ fallacies. Small wonder that you pretend you can "irk" me. Your "fairies and unicorns" bullshit was the straw man fallacy you were peddling. It's nothing i brought up. I'm not surprised that you lean so heavily on personal slurs, since you have nothing else going for you.

Yes I know. For some classes. But there were teething troubles and resistance to it which took a while to overcome if I may be allowed the conceit that they were overcome.

This said, I never understood your rapport with sex, or lack thereof.

It is due to the simple fact that this thread, and others like it, are about nothing else but the sexual question. The Yin/Yang problem. The fact that these fake atheists are in denial of it merely points to its importance. They are hung up all to **** on the subject. The two greatest martyrs to the atheist cause, de Sade and La Mettrie, are on Ignore too. And Dr Reich died in mysterious circumstances and his works burned by court order. In the 1950s that was.

@neologist,
No problem. Posters who insist on quoting trolls are themselves acting trollish and eventually get ignored too.

They don't give a flying **** whether they are fed or not and they won't come back because the won't go away in the first place.

The idea that such arrogant nonsense will have any effect on anybody is a function of Setanta's overblown sense of self-importance.

In point of fact Setanta's twee homily to everyone (sic) is trolling at its simplest and purest. And he must have expressed the same sentiment a few thousand times and the effect they have had can be seen in his feeling the need to repeat it.

@spendius,
Anything called "pussy whip" seems well worth trying...

In my experience, most people have almost no exposure to whatever happen(ed) beyond their own culture. Globalization must be the emptiest word ever. Don't scold Anglos for ignoring Sade, since you are kind enough to not scold me for having never read Austen, or Shakespeare for that matter.

Sex is a very important issue, no doubt about it. Not least because it leads to a lot of neuroses in our western cultures... Reich would know more about that, if you're talking about Wilhelm.

@Setanta,
Honestly I do like you... Overall you think much too highly of yourself, but I recognise that as a problem of mine as well. And you often have a sound "feel" for the issues. What you can't do is sustain any argument without becoming quite nasty in the process, and that's a pity. It renders any discussion ugly, and makes you look more fragile and insecure than you probably are.

As for the argument that I tend to look for fights, that's rather lame... IMO there' is no fun in discussing with people who agree with you. The fun comes in when there are disagreements, or at least new ideas that one hasn't been exposed to yet.

Ain't that the ugly truth. He's not nearly so knowledgeable as he likes to claim, and he lacks good debating skills. I do believe it's time to ignore him.

If you had debated me for any length, Panzade, or if you had ever disagreed with Set, you would realize that this is not true.

@Olivier5,
I was very respectful of your talents and point of view.
You, on the other hand were mean-spirited concerning mine.

Set and I have had many set-tos over the last 10 years but we maintain a healthy regard for each others strengths and weaknesses.

I have no further use for your ideas or debate.
Good luck.
