Signifying nothing.

@Wilso,
$73 million is chickenfeed Wilso compared to the billions or even trillions employed on buttering up distended egos.

That you should focus on such a derisory amount to prove your compassion for the poor is proof of how distorted your mind has become under the spur of your self interest.

As I've said in other threads, true Christians DON'T automatically assume they've got a free pass through the pearlies!
Even the great Christian Paul said-
"My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time" (1 Cor 4:3)
That's my attitude too, i've got no idea whether i'll make it through the pearlies so all i can do is give it my best shot and keep my fingers crossed..Smile

Neologist chipped in with:@RF-You prove it with your own arrogance.

But Neologist mate, I've said in this and other threads that like the apostle Paul, "i've got no idea whether i'll make it through the pearlies so all i can do is give it my best shot and keep my fingers crossed"
so I don't see how that's being arrogant?
You Jehovah's Witnesses on the other hand are as arrogant as they come-
"If you try to study the Bible without our help, you go into darkness" (JW Watchtower 15 Sep 1910, p298 )

Also, you JW's even have the arrogance to argue with Jesus!
Jesus said - "Whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:26/27)
But JW's say- "the soul does not continue to live after one dies"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah%27s_Witnesses_beliefs

So who is lying, Jesus or the Jehovah's Witnesses?..Wink

@Calamity Dal,
Jesus died for humanity by giving them a clean slate by soaking up all their sins like a lightning conductor, but the ones who slip back into nasty ways are putting their heads back in the noose and the trap is sprung on judgement day..Smile

What? If you care to re-phrase your question in plain English I'll be glad to answer it, but at the moment you're full of airy-fairy double-talk as you try to score points off me by patching together a tangled furball that nobody can understand..Wink

If you really don't understand what I'm getting at. I'll be more clear.

Did Jesus die or not?

@Romeo Fabulini,
I know you seem to think this is a game on which you think is all about scoring points, I am just asking questions to test the logic of your doctrine, or lack thereof

If you have "god given wisdom" as you so claim, this should prove no problem for you

No special wisdom is needed by anybody to know he died on the cross, who else do you think it was up there?
Then after three days he wakes up and just strolls out of the tomb cool as a cucumber..Smile

@Romeo Fabulini,
Why would "God" cry out on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?". This leads me to believe others thought of him as God... Not Jesus himself.

Only his body died, like ours will, but the soul lives on forever!
After his body died on the cross, Jesus temporarily came back in it to bid his mates goodbye, then he ascended to that great spiritual plane of existence in the sky..Smile
PS- it'd help if you told us what you were (JW, Mormon, Catholic, Rapturist or whatever) so we know what brand of beliefs you're trying to sell us.

Right, he made it plain many times that he wasn't God, but some numbnut fundies still cling to the notion that he was..Smile

@Romeo Fabulini,
So you are saying that Jesus did not give his life for us, he just shed his skin. So by your logic his ransom was worthless. What of his mate Lazy Ross? was he also ascended to the sky immediately upon his death?

As for your ridiculous PS, I will not explain to you my position again bub you have asked 3 times, I have told you 3 times. If you still haven't got it, you never will. You seem to be all mouth and no ears

You've definitely got cultish traits the way you keep trying to weave tangled furballs..Smile
Jesus soaked up all human bad vibes in the world like a lightning conductor to give us a clean slate, I don't know where you get the notion his sacrifice was worthless!

As for Lazarus, when he died his soul was 'put on hold' like everybody elses to await resurrection-
"Don't grieve for those asleep,for they sleep in Jesus" (1 Thess 4:13/14)

Lazarus was a special example through whom Jesus demonstrated Gods awesome power-
Jesus said "Lazarus is asleep, but I'm going to wake him up now" (John 11:11)

@Romeo Fabulini,
So what's Jesus ? A prophet to you...are you Jewish now or Muslim? So you don't believe in the trinity. I thought this was a fundamentalist belief of Christianity . ...Jesus was not God?
