Jesus died for humanity by giving them a clean slate by soaking up all their sins like a lightning conductor, but the ones who slip back into nasty ways are putting their heads back in the noose and the trap is sprung on judgement day.. Smile

No special wisdom is needed by anybody to know he died on the cross, who else do you think it was up there?

Why would "God" cry out on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?". This leads me to believe others thought of him as God... Not Jesus himself.

Only his body died, like ours will, but the soul lives on forever!
After his body died on the cross, Jesus temporarily came back in it to bid his mates goodbye, then he ascended to that great spiritual plane of existence in the sky.. Smile

PS- it'd help if you told us what you were (JW, Mormon, Catholic, Rapturist or whatever) so we know what brand of beliefs you're trying to sell us.

Jesus soaked up all human bad vibes in the world like a lightning conductor to give us a clean slate, I don't know where you get the notion his sacrifice was worthless!

As for Lazarus, when he died his soul was 'put on hold' like everybody elses to await resurrection-
"Don't grieve for those asleep,for they sleep in Jesus" (1 Thess 4:13/14)

Lazarus was a special example through whom Jesus demonstrated Gods awesome power-
Jesus said "Lazarus is asleep, but I'm going to wake him up now" (John 11:11)
