Come on atheists, spell out for us exactly what you don't like about this..Wink-

"Love one another, feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the destitute, tend the sick, visit the prisoners, look after the poor"- Jesus of Nazareth (Mark 12:30, John 13:34, Matt 25: 37-40)

Christians DO NOT-
Love one another
Feed the hungry
House the homeless
Tend the sick
Visit the prisoners or
Look after the poor.

Christians don't do any of those things. It's complete bullshit, and you are a ******* liar.

@Wilso,
Yeah--and you have no ******* answer either--you silly, stupid twat.

Go do your pigeon routines at the fancier's club.

What you showed with your chess idiocy is that you don't know your Skinner. Skinner could train a pigeon to walk in a figure of eight in 5 minutes just as a party trick. It's Pavlov you want for the real deal. You ain't the real deal Wilso. You're a powder puff with a bad-mouth.

Everybody with even a tenuous grasp on evolution knows that you not hitching up with a Shiela means that some Sheila somewhere, out of sight, out of mind, had to go to Thailand for a husband. Or do without.

Cheap air fares don't figure in Darwin's theories.

@Wilso,
Christians try to do those things. They are all contra-indicated by atheism and evolution.

We know what some atheist regimes do to prisoners.

Well mate, you've been a member of A2K for 12 years and have made over 8000 posts, but on the strength of that outburst I'd say your spiritual evolution still has a ways to go..Wink

Wilso mate, your profile is a complete blank (like many other wimps at A2K) so why not come out from under the bed and tell us a bit about yourself like whether you're male/female or half and half, and what country you live in, and whether you're a satanist, commie, muslim or even worse-- a Barry Manilow fan etc?

Atheist Sees Image of Big Bang in Piece of Toast

Excitement is growing in the Northern England town of Huddersfield following news that local atheist Donald Chapman saw an image of the Big-Bang in a piece of toast. In an exclusive interview with "The Huddersfield Express" Chapman, 36, explained that he was sitting down to eat breakfast when an unusual toast pattern caught his eye.

"I was just about to spread the butter when I noticed a small hole in the middle of the bread surrounded by a burnt black ring," said Chapman. "Then I saw the direction and splatter patterns of the crumbs - they were flowing outward from the center of a black hole, with their shades changing as distance from the center grew. It's a perfect match to the chaotic-dynamic non-linear patterns that followed the Big-Bang. The beginning of the world - right there in my breakfast!"

So...what is a "hard-core atheist?"

I'm unable to speak for Edgarblythe, but my personal belief with respect to his, regarding the existence of a god, is interchangeable. My assessment of a "hard-core atheist" is one who is unwavering in his/her central belief that there is no god.

I believe mankind is a product of Nature, outliving similar humans that came before today's "out-of-Africa" modern humans. I believe life may be consubstantial throughout the Universe, only far more advanced because in theory these civilizations may have existed far longer; our home, Earth, is so very young in contrast to other galaxies; wherever there exist the same set of conditions that helped shape life on earth, surely within this vast Universe, there are far more advanced intelligent beings.

The Universe is an astronomical mystery, which, *theoretically,* has always reinvented itself ad infinitum.

My words are directed only to atheists on this thread. Others are welcome to read and make their own conclusions.

Interesting way of saying, "I do not want to answer", Edgar.

@panzade,
Ok, that's funny.

Panz, did you read the New Yorker article by Adam Gopnik yet? I disagreed with his own summarizing a couple of times, tad too easy; mostly found article useful.

It's five pages long, worth a read in my opinion. No paywall on this article.

Hahahahaha! I usually get it on Wednesday, once in a while on Thursday.
Other years, though, I've had to wait longer, thinking Friday or Saturday.
Maybe there are new people at our post office.

Ah, this one is Feb 17 & 24 - it's on page 107.
Schniff, that means no new one today.

But God is a euphemism for the inhibitions of conduct in the sexual field, to all intents and purposes. The law deals with everything else.

So banging on about God is just a nice way of banging on about the sexual inhibitions of the Christian church. The Catholic Church to be more precise. For or against. The official position I mean and not what a handful of its perceived officials do.

"God" lets people off from facing reality. Sexual promiscuity and decadence is the reality.

As an abstract entity God is un-discussable when not connected to reality. Some Pagan gods were so "loose" that they are spoken of in veiled terms. Those who are innocent of what "loose" covers notwithstanding. Shagging a neighbour's spouse is very mild indeed.

The atheist who doesn't ignore the Church's sexual morality is just a fool. The other 85% will simply assume those teachings are, or have been, ignored anyway and draw the appropriate conclusions.

Would you like to know where my children go to school you freak? Maybe that's why you don't need women. You've got that secret yearning that you just can't tell anyone about. Yeah, I really want you know all about me. Rolling Eyes
