Good move... no one should steal away our time without asking our permission first. To assume we want to hear them preach uninvited is unconscionable.

I have a welcome mat out for them.

I love to get 'em two or three on one...and seldom fail to hold my own. I'm always friendly and hospitable...but I come at them with all guns blazing on the issues.

Although I notice that the doorbell rings less frequently now. I think they may be blackballing me.

How about political canvassing or other door-to-door or phone to phone tactics.

@spendius,
I think I have had but 2 in many years disturbing my peace preaching but political understrappers, recorded voices and assorted wallies concerned about my well being are every ******* day. Some days two or three.

Let's start with the main problem eh?

You seem to handle it the same as me, I do find it amazing that when you seem to know more about the bible than them, that they do not keep coming back.
I have always wondered why that was.

You have a point... a good one... anyone who steals my precious time in the ways we've discussed should be dealt with but our modern consumer society breeds them... what can you do? The answer is not a gated community... so we resort to many and various ways to avoid them.. which.. ironically also takes away our precious time!

I'm watching Dr. Strangelove as I type here. Glad I didn't read "precious bodily fluids" instead of "precious time."

@Frank Apisa,
To what do you think was referred to with those words Frank? In Strangelove I mean.

Base Commander Jack D. Ripper, the guy who delivered the line containing those words, was a nut-case, Spendius.

I supect he was referring to fluids within his body that he considered precious.

The balance of the monologue seems to indicate that he probably was thinking of ejaculate.

MYOEP. Mr Kubrick had those words given to the actor. The question he was posing, it seems to me, was the one you have believed yourself capable of having adjudicated. On what evidence?

Why would the ejaculate of our side be more precious than that of the Soviets?

If you type the famous words into Google you can see the scene again. There's a real good "inhaling" moment.

And now that I think about it - is the navel reference some sort of sly dig at Adam and Eve? Drunk

Yeah. But you would have to actually know more about the Bible. If they do not return, perhaps it is in obedience to Matthew 7:6.
