I'll tell you something stranger ci. Something staring you in the face but haven't noticed. It happens quite often and has happened twice today.

A pastor arrested for wanking in public, if the allegation is true I mean, and a Sunday-school teacher convicted of murder.

If people who do these sorts of thing are not pastors or Sunday-school teachers then they are bus drivers, or chefs or of some other secular occupation. It is only with pastors, Sunday school teachers etc that their religious orientation is mentioned prominently. If they are atheists it is not mentioned.

I suppose the reason is that pastors and Sunday-school teachers are not supposed to do such things and that implies that it is more common, and thus not as newsworthy as when atheists do them.

One needn't be a creationist to be on roughly the same side against atheism. I have never once in 7 years even hinted that I am what you mean by a Creationist. Your comprehension skills must be hardly worth remarking.

I daresay there are atheists on the same side as me. You just don't hear from them. Life is not one-dimensional. An evolutionist can be on the side of Christianity. Just as a socialist can be a capitalist when bargain hunting. Bargain hunting is, as a fact, driving a fellow worker's wages down and making his/her working conditions harder. Would you dispute that?

"It's the economy stupid!!!", when translated into pub-talk, means bargain hunting with your vote.

spendi, You still haven't learned about human-nature. Titles for anyone doesn't matter; they all commit crimes against other humans. Those are FACTS, not fiction.

In the same day, the WBC wins it's USSC case to allow members to picket at US soldier's funerals. I'm not surprised, nor do I disagree with the ruling. Just a post on a related topic.

Besides, I find it far more inspiring to see the freedom riders in action to support the families and shelter them from such hatred. I don't need a law.

I posted my story, not to denigrate Christians, but to illustrate to those who claim atheists are by definition perverted, that it can happen within any range of atheism, deism or agnosticism. People are, in the end, people. No group can claim the high ground.

I wasn't talking about crimes and who commits them you silly sod. I was talking about how media covers them. It's never an atheist wanking or killing. It's a dog-handler or a short order cook or something. But let it be a pastor or an Sunday-school teacher and watch them milk it.

Media may create your reality, but not mine. I'm very skeptical about media bias, and will continue to question what I read or hear.

spendi, It's surprising how you fail to observe facts; most of us learn from what we do read and hear from media, but you missed the most important point by not observing the myriad of opinions that many have right here on a2k. That shows that most people's reality is different.

What about homosexuality and their protection of perverts ?
