the 31st, it's the future, we've either changed for the better or we're gone, either way, win/win

There have been many definitions of "better"

U 'll need to be versatile in your tastes.

Feudal Japan with the hopes of real dragons flying about. Or in the future where there are flying cars and we have discovered other planets are inhabitable and there are aliens from those worlds intermixing with out

I misread Century as Country and was all ready to say Belize. I have no interest in time travel. I've got enough problems keeping up with the one I'm in.

I'd live in the Middle Ages - probably the 12th century. Maybe the 13th. In the UK. I find that period fascinating.

It IS fascinating. But...would you want to live then as a woman or a man?

I'm not sure I would want to live in any previous time as a woman. We have it so much better now.

I don't think I'd want to live in the past. Dental and medical care was not really at it's peak and neither were women's rights. The future maybe, but I think this past century was the most fascinating in terms of advancement from the telephone to the internet, travel and so on. The future maybe, if we are not a war or starving.

Just depends on where you live. You could go for a century where there was a war just not on a wide, all encompassing reach as some.

That 's right, and that 's a good way to express it.
If that were the criterion (warlessness) then the Pax Romana 'd
be good, from the perspective of living inside Rome.

As for living in a century, I'm quite fine about the 2nd half of the XXth and the first half of the XXIst.

Now, as for visiting another times -with my present knowledge-, I've daydreamed about visiting the 1920s and the times of the Spanish conquest of Mexico... staying there for a few years... and changing history.
