I like living in my own time and place generally. If I could have time travel power I'd use it now to experience more, more cities, more countryside, more cultures, more music, more ideas, and undoubtedly more food... in some kind of intense condensed travel that didn't seem like a whirlwind as I was doing it. I'd need more money to do that and some nifty travel passes.

The ability to travel thru time (other than we already do)
woud be ineffably wonderful. I thrill just at the thawt of going back
n correcting my mistakes n taking advantage of blown opportunities.

Even just the ability to change a very few spoken words
( or to remain silent ) in a few incidents that I remember blows my mind.

There are a few mistakes here you can correct without going back much in time.

No, no; those r the right ways.
The old ways r the mistakes; we need to re-define them.

I wish I coud go back to meet Walt Disney in his youth, b4 he began to smoke
and dissuade him from it.

He 'd have loved to have lived longer in his financial prime.
Thay 'd just built Disneyworld in Florida.

France. I adore the culture, and I would love to be surrounded by it. Or Spain for the same reasons.

In the American mid-west just after the Civil War--the western expansion and the building of the intercontinental railroads fascinates me historically and technically. So many engineering projects.

@tsarstepan,
OH, I misread the title. I'm sorry.

But 19th century France seems good.

@OmSigDAVID,
I was born to build--Don't practice it anymore professionly. It's a hobby.

I'm working on a graduate degree in math now fer funzies. Neat to be around all these really smart kids and learn something new from someone who is at least 20 years your junior.

@OmSigDAVID,
No just a simple engineer--did nuclear fuel processing to start then spent a few years doing systems safety and reliability, emergency response, and then went into hazardous and rad waste cleanup.

When I started industry didn't care about graduate degrees, just continuing education--got probably 100 graduate hours in everything from adolescent psychology (ugh) to surface thermodynamics (liked and practical).

Never granted a graduate degree. I've always thought masters degrees were dangerous. The last three guys that shot at the white house with automatic weapons all had masters degrees.

@OmSigDAVID,
I have a pump Remington 30.06 and a "winnie mag" .338. The 338 has a terrible recoil but terrific knockdown(which I imagine Im gonna need for dropping megafauna of the pliocene).
So I guess Ill go with the .338 and enogh ammo to keep me fed for life.
(Hey, its my fantasy get yer own)

Yea, to protect your fantasy shoulder better: there is a .50 caliber rifle that absorbs its recoil
inside the piece n deflects the shells downward.

I hope that u 'll bring back n show us your fantasy taxidermy.
