This is a bit of an old chestnut, going back in time to assassinate Hitler and prevent WW2.
It's never that simple though, something always goes wrong, there's a story where killing Hitler results in the Nazis winning the war.
By 1944 the allies had given up on killing Hitler because he kept screwing up.
Here's the situation, going back in time to kill Hitler just makes things worse, as does every other tweak, like making him a successful artist, or something like that.
Only one intervention makes things better. During WW1 in the trenches Hitler was shot in the testicles.
So here's the question, would you go back in time and take a shot to the bollocks for Hitler and stop WW2?
Don't worry if you're a lady, bollocks will be provided.
Maybe go back and take out his parents instead?

There is only one option.
Look at it this way, being prepared to go back in time and kill Hitler's parents isn't the same as being prepared to get shot in the balls.

You go back and do anything and you are very likely removing a majority of the people in the world today out of existence. 400000 us soldiers were killed more had lifetime injuries and problems associated with going to battle. So you go back and change anything and your existence is extremely unlikely. Even if you don’t change the fact that your ancestors do end up together you change their lives. Different jobs different interactions possibly no war effort probably never meet the requirements to conceive the exact same kids and then how do these people even know to go back and change Hitlers course through history. And if you don’t go back you create a never ending loop that end the future as we would be stuck forever in this 100 year plus Groundhog Day.
