I see it differently: if I get slain by a criminal or animal:
I want and demand the vengeance of said criminal or animal killed in retribution
(unless, of course, I have already caused that to happen DEFENSIVELY at the time n place of the occurrance).

Why are we allowed to kill animals that murder and not humans ? We are not allowed to keep animals in prison for life..it is inhuman...why do it to people ?

We probably woud not have landed on the Moon yet,

No, I don't. If called on to participate, I do the best I can with what's available to me. If you leave the playground, only the other kids get the benefit of it.

I have served on a few juries. On the last occasion, one juror argued from predjudice against the main consensus. He only changed his mind because he wanted to go home and not come back the next day.

Another time, we were asked if we would be predjudiced against the defendant in a trial. I indicated that I would, because, in my mind, I had already decided. I was seated regardless. Fortunately, it was sort of a dummy case. They knew we would vote to convict and already had prepared their appeal.

It is strange you would quote that because it seems you dont know its true meaning. It was thousands of years ahead of its time because it demanded a punishment to suit the crime FOR EVERYONE, regardless of how rich they were or how poor they were.
