And the winner of week #14 is ........................................................................................................................
........................................................................................................................
EhBeth!
There were 5 folks tied after SF's win last night:
Miz Cowdoc (predicting a final score of 17-14)
McGentrix (31-14)
Clubber (21-3)
Panzade (27-21)
EhBeth (27-7)
The actual final score was 24-9. The 1st tiebreaker gives the week to the player closest to the winning team's score. That eliminated Miz Cowdoc and McGentrix but left Clubber, Panzade and Ehbeth tied (each having picks 3 points away from the actual score). The 2nd tiebreaker looks at which player picked closest to the losing team's score.
And EhBeth, off by only 2 points, wins!

I'll be back with the full week's results and the standings but it may be later than usual. We will be going before the Board of Architecture Review later this afternoon. I didn't have time to work on this game much today yet.

@Ragman,
Right on both. As I recall, the Warner Brothers version was actually Sylvester the Cat parodying both of them.

@ossobuco,
It actually is not a big deal, osso. No vote. Rather, it is the 2nd in what will probably by about 5 discussions with the BAR about the design. Pretty thoughtful and amicable. My architect and I prefer to take this route rather than trying to cram something through. It takes more time, of course, but we end up, I think, with a better project.

@realjohnboy,
I checked Board of Architecture out on Google due to my having seen many buildings in the US of somewhat eccentric design and the document which appeared which I assume is some sort of statement of intent was signed by someone called ARMANDO N. ALLI fuap. aaif.

It was the most deniable signature I have ever seen. Such signatures are said by psychologists to denote personalities with a grossly overstretched sense of their own importance.

Grovelling would seem to be the best policy Johnny.

Congratulations EhBeth.

@realjohnboy,
Agree.

Now on to study these teams and their motivations for playing players, plus checking the evening sky when it shows up, and tossing some pepper in the direction of tonight's dinner.

In essence, side effects of cayenne pepper have never really been reported. Its native heat prevents most people from using it and even those who are strong proponents of its many health benefits use it judiciously. The general rule of thumb, however, is avoid doing anything to the extreme and that is wise counsel.

BAR meeting/discussion went pretty well. I only threw shoes at the computer screen a few times (which is why I am not allowed to attend the meetings in person anymore).
Week #14 for us here was good. As a group we ended up with a winning record of .692 which raised our score for the season by a smidgen (.003) from last week. We all got burnt by the Steelers loss and only Miz Cowdoc, Jespah and Lmur had San Francisco.
McGentrix, Clubber, Panzade, Miz Cowdoc and EhBeth the Conqueror went 13-3. Cowdoc, Ragman, JPinMilw and Mysteryman did well at 12-4.
There were a bunch of us at 11-5: Johnboy, Osso, ElStud, Tico, Liontamerx, Region, Rhyss, Alex, Jespah, Edgar and Lmur.
Maporsche, Fox and Fbaezer managed to go 10-6.
Wandeljw, George and Spendius limped in at 9-7 while JPB could only break even at 8-8.

As long as we are quoting old time tv, wasn't it Monty Python who had the one about - not Spendius' sick parrot - but about the dead parrot?
"The parrot you sold me was dead!"
The best ESPN expert went 13-3 while the worst was 9-7.

On to the Standings after 14 weeks. This is exciting.
1) Spendius (148-60 .711) holds onto 1st after a decidedly sub-par week.
2) McGentrix (147-61 .706) climbs back to 2nd just 1 game back.
3) Maporshe (146-62 .701) slips a slot from 2nd - but only 2 games back.
3) Clubber rises from 4th 1 week ahead of when I give year-end bonuses.
5) Panzade (145-63 .697) hops up from 6th.
6) Johnboy (144-64 .692) stumbles from 4th.
7) EhBeth (130-63 .6733) makes a huge jump from 14th.
8) Fox (140-68 .673) drops from 7th.
8) Miz Cowdoc stays where she was.
8) Ragman stays where he was.
11) Cowdoc (139-69 .668) has a decent week but falls from 8th.
12) Osso (138-70 .6634) can't keep up with peers, dropping from 8th.
12) Tico suffers the same fate as 11-5 costs him also.
12) ElStud sees the same thing happen to him.
15) JPinMilw (128-65 .6632) remains in 15th.
16)Liontamerx (137-71 .658) sticks with 16th.
16) Region moves up one slot.
18) Fbaezer (135-73 .649) surrenders a notch.
18) Rhyss gains 2.
20) Mysteryman (132-76 .634) climbs by 2.
20) JPB slips by 1.
22) Wandeljw (130-78 .625) gives up his long owned home in 21st.
23) George (127-81 .610) stays in 23rd but has company.
23) Alex moves up from 24th.
23) Jespah does the same.
26) Edgar (125-83 .600) remains in 26th.
27) Lmur (124-84 .596) holds on to the cellar.
The best ESPN guy (.682) would be in 7th here while the most inept would be in 18th.

@realjohnboy,
Can't recall if I already did this. If I did, please let these selections supercede any older ones. I don't know if anyone else is having issues with this, but I just don't follow the chatter, so I end up losing track of the weeks. Anyway, shrug, here goes:
