What do feminists think, or even liberals, about the obvious symbolic reference to the sex war to be seen in the NFL where big, fit chaps do the grunting and the pretties trip the clite fantastic with tassles on their wrists and ankles?

@Ragman,
ohh....sorry..I get what now. NFL football is Enemy #1 with the feminists; however, NFL owners andteams as a group do/does not pretend to be a feminist poster-children, even though the sexist criticism is valid. The whole atmosphere is designed to be a sexist-gladiatorial-testosterone fortress for men to retreat to. It is still is, and always will be, 100% sexist.

@spendius,
I think everyone agrees that it's better this way than the other way around.

Where are we? Oh, yes. We are in Week #9.
I have blank columns for Ehbeth, the Cowdocs, Maporsche, JPinMilw, JPB, Spendius and Panzade.
Andy/Clubber emailed me this afternoon. During their layover in San Antonio, they had some work done on the 15-passenger van the 5-guys and their stuff travel in. Evidently, Bubba at a Ford dealership failed to sufficiently tighten the lug nuts on one wheel. Right near Godawfulnowhere, TX, the left rear tire disintegrated and the thingees the lug nuts screw onto were partially sheared off.
AAA said "Sorry about that. You are out of our service area." They found a shade-tree mechanic who had the tools to improvise some fix that allowed them to get to El Paso in time for the show Thursday night.
Big Tony, one of the guitar players, was service manager for a car dealership in Cville in an earlier life and knew who to call and what to say. Ford fixed it at no charge, and Andy was writing me from Scottsdale before tonight's show.
Keep on truckin'.

@realjohnboy,
Falcons, Bears, Ravens, Colts, Patriots, Packers, Jaguars, Saints, Seahawks, 49ers, Giants, Eagles, Steelers ( 26--12).

Have you no videos of the band performing Johnnie? I'm sure everybody is a dyin' to see what they can do. We've all had breakdowns on the road.

@Ragman,
I'm glad you eventually saw the point Ragman. (Do you draw circles up and down the block?)

But I asked what the feminists and their liberal supporters thought about it. It does rather make it look as if feminism is posited on things that can't be objectively measured and just talked about and asserted and as soon as something can be measured, like the NFL, feminism vanishes like a puff of smoke and the radical difference between the sexes is celebrated on TV as, of course, is right and proper.

It might lead anyone to speculate that feminism is as incongruous as the NFL would be with ladies playing the game and chaps dancing on the side in tight knickers.

As I arrived home last night I was just in time to see the witches of Eastwick shut Nicholson off with a remote control.

@realjohnboy,
I feel for Andy.

I once was a member of a band that did a year long tour of 40 states in a converted school bus. We couldn't figure out why we couldn't go more than 55 mph until the drummer, rooting around under the hood, found a governor on the carburetor that the school board had installed in all the buses to keep them from speeding.
He tore it out and we were able to travel the vertical road to Mt Rushmore without a problem.

I chuckled thinking about it.

Which reminds me spendi.

In high school we had a yearly gala called the Powder Puff game where the men became cheerleaders and the nymphs played a football game. Much riotous fun.

@spendius,
yeah, yeah...I had to draw it out with chalk (me and Einstein). Somehow, being the sexist that I am, I negated the existence of tassels or even clothes.
