@realjohnboy,
Actually I think they're watching you, Johnboy. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't really after you.
@realjohnboy,

I have a wide fan base, RJB. I thought you knew that.

Then I'd recommend getting more exercise and cutting back on the carbs.
Oh, wait.
You said a wide
fan base.
Never mind.

@realjohnboy,
Clubber didn't give a final score?
Green Bay (Brown's top tackler is out for the season)
San Diego (Chargers answer their wake-up call)
Indianapolis (Colts v Rams -- could there be a worse matchup?)
Pittsburgh (Favre is due for a bad game)
New England (Cheers!)
Houston (The last petal on the daisy said "Texans")
Buffalo (But it won't be pretty)
Oakland (Automatic)
Atlanta (But I think it'll be close)
Chicago (Bengals have peaked)
New Orleans (Saints look unstoppable)
Arizona (Automatic)
Philadelphia (Redskins are in turmoil)
35-6
Last night in baseball, in game 4 of the LA Angels vs NY Yankees, there was a controversial call at 3rd base by the umpire. Two Yankee base runners ended up at 3rd base, or rather a couple feet away from 3rd base. An Angel tagged both of them out, but the ump ruled one of them was not out.
I saw the video - which is apparently no longer available due to a copyright issue.
I think I have the facts straight. But I can't figure out the logic here in the decision.
@realjohnboy,
Wrong thread John.
If two gumpy batsmen in cricket end up stranded in mid-wicket at cricket only one of them can be run out. That is because when one of them is run out the ball is deemed dead. They have been known to stand equidistant from the broken wickets at both ends having a discussion about which one should go for the benefit of the team.
If one of the batsmen was called Geoffrey Boycott the other one was out.
@realjohnboy,
The slang word "gump" is defined as "a person that is slow, mentally or physically."
@spendius,
Interesting. The word "gumption" (listed as deriving from Scot) includes definitions like courage, spunk, resourcefulness.
@realjohnboy,
I know. I've pondered the matter myself.

Careful, now, Tico. I seem to recall a fellow Idahoan who claimed to have a wide
