@Bi-Polar Bear,
I stop feeling any concern toward you when you state you was planning on getting rid of another family pet over a pissing contest with your 19 years old son.

You would need to get very low not to have the moral high ground on you my friend hell you would need to dig a tunnel half way to China at least.

Second somehow if it matter greatly to you, you would find the 100 dollars or so to get the cat check out by a vet.

Your Cat may have a medical problem

Urinary Tract infections are a common cause of a cat peeing all over the house.
Often a cat will inappropriately urinate because of a medical condition. If you have problems with a cat not using his litter box please get him or her checked by a vet. Your vet can examine your cat for lower urinary tract diseases to rule out medical conditions which could be causing the inappropriate urination problem. For example a painful case of cystitis or urethral blockage may have your cat associating the pain of urination with it's litter tray and it will therefore avoid it's litter tray

Urinary Tract Infections in Cats

Diabetes

Diabetes in cats can cause increased urination and maybe your cat doesn't make it to the litter tray every time.

The Litter Box is dirty

Cats do not like using dirty litter boxes. Make sure you change the litter daily and wash the litter box with hot soapy water at least every few days. Scoop out soiled litter regularly in between.

Your cat may not like the brand of litter you have chosen

Maybe you have switched brands of litter or bought a completely different type of kitty litter. Cats are creatures of routine. If you wish to change the type of cat litter you are using then you can gradually introduce the new litter by mixing it with the old a small bit at a time until the new litter is accepted.

Often cats don't like the same nice smelling kitty litter that we might like. Avoid scented kitty litter.

The location of the litter box is not to your cats liking

Don't put the litter tray in a busy location or near a noisy washing machine for example. Put the litter tray in a quiet easy to access location and don't forget they like privacy too! Cats do not like to use the toilet near to where they eat. That's not surprising... neither do we! Move litter boxes away from feeding areas or where their water is placed. Do not put the litter box in a room or basement where the door may be closed and the cat cannot access it.

Your cat is spraying urine not urinating.

When cats spray urine it is not normal urination like when they need to go to the toilet. It is territorial and can be stress related.

The causes of spraying and how to prevent it

Your Cat may be stressed

Cats suffer from stress as well as humans. Cats are creatures of habit and thrive in a consistent and familiar atmosphere. When their 'comfort zone' is disrupted it can often result in stress which contributes to inappropriate elimination.

@BillRM,
The cat's been to the vet. I've said so a couple of times you GODDAM IGNORANT ****!!!!! there's nothing pysically wrong with the cat.

we have more than one litter box and they're cleaned daily you stupid son of a bitch I said that a few times already.

The cat's have been using the same litter since THE DAY I RESCUED THEM, ONE FROM A SHELTER AND THE TWO SISTERS from a guy who was getting ready to take them for a one way ride in the country.

Pay attention, get your facts straight and again, PLEASE shut your ******* stupid mouth.

ouch!..............well my suggestion would be if you catch the cat in the act, squirt it with a pistol (kids water squirt toy) filled with vinegar and water. Saw this on telly cats loathe the vinegar taste apparently, my cats on the other hand got the air gun method....sounds bad but it worked, we did not actually shoot them with the pellets, but purposely missed, just enough to give them a fright. Now all we have to do is click the gun (very rarely now) and they are off outside!.....and before anyone says anything negative, they are happy, healthy cats who get the best of everything.

@Bi-Polar Bear,
You're giving him what he wants.

Do the right thing, and just put him on ignore.

Yes I am a weirdo when it somehow annoy me that anyone would post that he is getting rid of a family pet as a way to get back at his son in some form of a pissing contest.

Shame on me for reacting in such a strong manner to that posting and you are 100 percent correct that anyone who view pets as anything more then property is indeed strange and sick shewolfnm.

I blame my parents for this sickness of mine as they evilly drilled into my young defenseless mind that pets are family members that are due respect along with love and caring.

Child abuse of the first order and I am sure shewolfnn you would never do anything of the kind in regards to your children thank god.

So the choice is either going along with PETA and such ideas as using human breast milk for ice cream instead of crow milk or seeing nothing wrong with using a family pet as a tool to annoy your son?

Is that your logic DrewDad?

crow milk?

that....is just so freaking cruel to baby crows. Taking their milk away from them like that is criminal.

Next thing you know, you'll be using fish hoofs as paperweights.

@DrewDad,
I purchased a large rubber container from Home Depot with a lid on it for the same price as a cat litter box. I cut a cat size hole in one side, cover the bottom with pine pellets and a clumping litter, then put the lid on.

Remove lid as needed for changing litter . :-D

@DrewDad,
Will I can only hope that all your parents out there are not teaching your children to respect family pets in fact having the kids slowly torturing a few of them to death might be a good idea to drive the point home that they are just property and that they do not share any emotions with humans otherwise they might grow up to join PETA.

Bet you animals are just property people are all good Christians as only humans had souls and therefore only humans matter to "god".

To me I love the following quote "the man said to the universe I exist and the universe reply I am aware of that fact however it place me under no obligation".

The universe is a wonderful but uncaring place and every once in a blue moon I can tell the universe that this animal is going to have a good life
instead of the short and uncomfortable one that it would had otherwise.

As a result I get love back and also get woke up at 4:30 in the morning when my one little girl wish to be feed.

One other option is to feed the cat where she currently pisses - and see if she takes her business elsewhere. They don't like food too near their piss-points.

ah.

either the cat will come around for food, and decide to live as an outdoor cat around you and/or your neighborhood.....or not.

the rubicons crossed. no sense discussing "what if" or "you should"

it's not like you killed it. it'll make it's way in the world.
