Haven't we had this discussion before... I like revolvers, but my G21s have
fired thousands of rounds without a single failure. That's as good as it gets.

I love them.
My first gun was a .38 Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver.
I own several .38 revolvers, but for stopping power,
u need more bulk: .44 special, hopefully with hollowpointed slugs.

STOPPING POWER: u bet your life.

I like your screen name.
I remember the origin of that motto.

Hardball ?

What do u think of hollowpoints ?

In my own opinion, hollowpoints offer u the best in stopping power,
and THAT's the name of the game.

Funny thing though.... Using a shotgun properly is an art form and resembles tennis or baseball much more than it does any other shooting sport. As is the case with a shotgun, if you ever watch a baseball bat or tennis racquet, you'll never hit anything with it.

The same holds true with golf, if you focus on the club head you will never hit the ball.
I own a sweet pre-ban Heckler & Koch Benelli M1 Super 90, but I don't fire it much.
I prefer my hand guns and rifles.

@OmSigDAVID,
Have you tried shooting anything at 200 - 300 yards with that pointed 45/70 ammo?

I haven't fired a single shot from that rifle, it's at the gunsmith for some customization.
My large hands require a big lever loop.

@H2O MAN,
Funny thing, nobody would buy one of those big Marlin rifles to shoot mice at 100 meters with, but they're capable of it. Terribly accurate for what they are.

I coud be rong,
but from the little glimpse that I got of it,
that looked more like an M16 or AR 15 than a shotgun.

Has it been identified more specificly?

Yeah: thank u, Waterman.
It very well coud be that.

I only saw it for maybe a tenth of a second,
at a bad angle; it just did not look like
any shotgun that I 've ever seen.

I suspect that the news media has no clue
as to what thay are saying.

I admire how u can find a picture
and then publish it here; that 's better than I can do.

@H2O MAN,

Since the USSC already declared that:
"We start therefore with a strong presumption that the Second Amendment right
is exercised individually and belongs to all Americans"
and that strong presumption was never rebutted,
we 've already been told how the USSC sees things.
