@DontTreadOnMe,
I'm mostly ordinary, dtom..
my intensity sometimes may relate to my own mix of accumulated stuff- like all the rest of us deal with.
I'm in slo mode and hope to maintain.

But, thank you, I mean it, re cyberhugs.

@ossobuco,
Any news on the date and the scope of the surgery? Just so I know when to get my fingers crossed ....

@Thomas,
Nah, I'm staring at myself and saying call the doc mid next week. (He's pretty engaged with my case, as it happens, but gives me room.)

It's weird, as the first surgery can happen whenever. My right eye cataract in itself is, I gather, not a matter of immediate worry.. However, I'd still like to drive, and the eye is edging toward my not, ever so slowly, however well I am passing tests.

And re the surgery, it will progress happily within minutes, or go to hell - as in my last experience.

The time is ripe, as I can't imagine keeping up the medicare supplement plan over time.

Thomas

@ossobuco,
Well, good luck with the timing, and -- needless to say -- with the outcome.

@ossobuco,
Good idea to get your eyes done as soon as possible before more recession medical money is reduced.

@ossobuco,
Hi, osso. I am wondering if you know Panzade, from FL. He was one of the 1st people I met on A2K, over on the stupid NFL sports game. He disappeared for a spell but is now back after some issues with his eyes.

@dlowan,
Thanks, dlow..

I didn't mean to open this thread up again until I make the call, but I wanted to explain my lack of zipping about re grocery stores in greater (or lesser) albuquerque to dtom, re a cooking conversation we've been having (ha ha, on an obama thread).

So, I'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Please keep us posted, osso. Then I'll know when to cross my fingers, too!

(And if you do need that nudge, here's a gentle one from me! Smile )

@msolga,
OK, it's the 21st of July.
I may be more erratic on a2k than usual, as it will go easily, a whiff, which is my hope - as ordinary cataract surgeries are swifties - or mildly shitty and still very detrimental to daily life, or just a mess for a time, which clears up, or giant despond, and I have, naturally, many emotions, a plague from past experience. Left eye from the 2004 group of surgeries is failing quite fast, so, no back up.

This is not to provoke comments - I'm not sure I'll answer if there are, at least for a while, and please don't be offended if I don't respond immediately - I have avoidant propensity. And I don't mind quiet.

Meantime, I have liked my experiences in eye surgery for the magic show. So, it's not all a bummer.

Jo
