@ossobuco,
You're home! good to read about the surgeon/med personnel.

I hope you've got something tempting ready to eat in the house.

@ehBeth,
I've actually got too many things to eat in the house, at least some of them tempting - I had a big cooking spurt in the last few days.

My two surgeons (let's call them December and May) couldn't be more different from each other, it's almost comedic, but I'm fond of both of them. Thing is, the staff is sharp too. As most know, I have a medical background, thus I'm not a hero worshipper, but I recognize competence.

Thanks all for the cheer...

Huh, I could take a screen shot and frighten the lot of you. But I won't.

Great news. I am always shocked at how fast surgery like this happens - go in the morning, have surgery, home within hours and type away at the computer!

@littlek,
Or in the odd case, not see. It's a wild and woolly world.

(I'm still amazed at the face surgeries..)

Osso, I just caught up with your eye saga and I'm very happy your sight will be improved. I know it will improve your quest for independence.

@Izzie,
Hi, folks. Day two, sort of scary this morning with the overnight lid swelling.. ay, caramba. A surgical nurse called to see how I was doing and we agreed it was normal (I had just finished surmising that before she called) and went over again what to watch out for, re infection, bleeding, and so on. I kept up with the ice queen business. Once an hour for twenty minutes is a lot of ice bag holding over a day ... but it's working: it's no longer totally scare making to look in the mirror. Now having a nice chardonnay on ice before my evening bowl of potato veggie soup. Or maybe my evening beef hot link/onions/cheese on a bolillo roll.

Be well, all.

@ossobuco,
Sounds like you should stay away from small children for a while Wink

But seriously, glad to hear the surgery went well and that the swelling is no worse than expected. Hope every day it gets a little better .

@ossobuco,
I hope the swelling is better by now, osso. How is your vision?

If you still need to use the ice bags, and are tired of holding them, I'll send you a hunky Home Health Aid to lend you a hand.

@firefly,
Swelling will keep happening, apparently, eventually going away, especially after the stitches are out. Still a little scary when I get up in the morning, aaack! but is normal bruising/swelling.

Yes, I need help with the ice bags, send that fellow over..
