I remember that fight. He devoted the entire first hundred days of his second term to trying to defeat us.

We stopped him cold and shattered his presidency.

I say shattered because, since he didn't have anything to show for his first hundred days, his second term was a legislative wasteland.

@oralloy,
Thank you. Apparently the operation went well and I can pick him up in a couple of hours.

@oralloy,
Again, Oralloy, you're taking personal pride in making sure there's no solution. Now, this president is taking very un-orthodox measures for a border wall, circumventing Congress. It may or may not be built, but people will remember how it was done. The wrong way.

Don't be so glib. That just might happen against you.

Not if it's a good dictionary. I'm partial to the Oxford Dictionary.

You keep posting the same old nonsense. At least try some new nonsense, not the same old stale bull.

@oralloy,
He had a tumour removed, it may be benign or cancerous, but as he's quite an old cat I don't see any point in forking out a load more money to get it tested. The operation costs enough on its own.

@izzythepush,
I've always thought about getting pet insurance in case an expensive operation becomes necessary to save one of their lives, but I've never actually done so.

Not with the courts enforcing the Second Amendment.

Wrong again. You cannot point out anything that I am wrong about.

The Courts can't do a thing when the Democratic president instills a mark-up tax of 10,000% on guns, ammunition and related items.

@oralloy,
I don't know if it's worth it. According to a comparison site it's £8.50 pcm.

I've had him for 15 years, I got him when he was a year old from a shelter.

£8.50 x 12 x 15 = £1530. I've been quoted £500 for this operation, alright, it won't be that, it's never a round figure, but it still works out that if I'd paid insurance I'd have been about £1000 out of pocket. And he's got a brother.

What makes the progressives' definition fraudulent is the fact that it is completely contrary to the real definition.

The "real" definition. Your opinion is duly noted.

@izzythepush,
For me pet insurance would be worth it if an operation was on the order of $30,000.

I've never been confronted with such an operation, but some rich people get their pets organ transplants and things like that. If I had to pay for such an operation to save a pet, I wouldn't be able to do it.

But yes. For treatments that are not extremely expensive, pet insurance probably doesn't save much money. It might even cost more money in the long run if there is never a need for a super-expensive operation.

The pet insurance that I looked at had a yearly $750 deductible and then paid 90% of everything after that. So for a $1000 treatment, it would not make much difference. But a $30,000 treatment would suddenly become somewhat affordable.

I forget the exact price of the insurance premiums, but it was something like $25 a month for each cat. This was for a young cat. I don't know if the price for the insurance would have risen with increasing age, because I never signed on to the plan.

They were pretty clear that I would pay a lot more if I waited until the cats were older before beginning the insurance however.

The courts can strike it down as a violation of the Second Amendment.

@oralloy,
It's not any different than taxing gasoline or cigarettes.

So, cite where it would be a violation.

Gasoline and cigarettes aren't guaranteed by the Constitution
