Why do you thik it is funny to call someone fat? Do you often discriminate against fat people? Do you use the term "nigger" to describe the appearance of an African-American?

DD22, this is an example of how you sabotage yourself. Would you find this funny if you or if someone you loved had a serious weight problem ? You always go to the negative - try turning your negative thinking into positive thinking . You may notice a welcome change in your whole life. You need to learn to put yourself in the place of others and think about how you would want to be treated. Focus on learning empathy and everything else will come into place.

exactly! this was meant to be done in good humor just like the 1001 Ways to Call Someone "stupid." I got along with ppl who were fat and I would NEVER say that to their face. Those 2 threads were meant for ppl to come up w/ something witty.

Both DD's - Stupid is abstract, you can't see it. It's a matter of opinion and one person's stupid is another person's brilliant (ie GW Bush). I think fat people have enough problems in this world without the rest of us trying to make them feel worse about themselves. It's like making fun of a smoker with lung cancer.

DrewD - If one of your adorable daughters came home bragging how they teased the fat kid in their class would you give them some good lines for future use? I don't think so. I doubt you want to teach your children to be mean and to act like bullies. You know that kind of behavior will eventually backfire on them.
