@Endymion,
thought about you this morning

I was making a little breakfast platter. mug of Darjeeling, fresh crusty bread from St. John's (the monk and a couple of his street fellas) with butter - and a little bit of fresh, organic sweet onion. A few pieces of fresh cheese curd on the side.

I said to myself, "Self, would anyone but Endy understand onion on bread and butter as a good, long weekend breakfast".

@Endymion,
Good morning
Good afternoon
Good evening

This is one of the threads I think of whenever I'm doing a root veggie cook-up, or consider whether to buy 10 pounds of yellow onions or go for 5 of the red/5 of the white/5 of the sweet.

@Endymion,
Was thinking about the freaks this morning.

Planning my annual trip to the Royal Winter Fair to goggle at the lovely giant rutabagas and blue carrots and prize-winning carrots and onions and wonder if I should learn how to braid garlic.

The freaks were on my mind Very Happy

I was listening to an Arlo Guthrie concert podcast today, (I downloaded it from iTunes yesterday). It was the first time I really listened to his music outside the occasional rare radio play in the late 70's and early 80's.

Between the songs, he bantered with the audience. This is a poem he recited, just thought you guys/gals/whatnots might appreciate... Very Happy
Quote:
Mooses Come Walking
by Arlo Guthrie

Mooses come walking over the hill
Mooses come walking, they rarely stand still
When mooses come walking they go where they will
When mooses come walking over the hill
Mooses look into your window at night
They look to the left and they look to the right
The mooses are smiling, they think it's a zoo
And that's why the mooses like looking at you

So, if you see mooses while lying in bed
It's best to just stay there pretending you're dead
The mooses will leave and you'll get the thrill
Of seeing the mooses go over the hill
