I realize Fox won't see this since she has me on ignore.....
But who needs a source when you can watch CNBC video of people bashing the health care plan.

@Cycloptichorn,
Okay you can't support your claim.

Neither can you support your claim that my sources are rank speculation.

I win.

Fox, see the above. And try and do even the slightest bit of research against your position before making such foolish claims.

Point out a single fact or named source within any of your sources, confirming what you claim. You cannot do so for they don't exist. Your evidence isn't evidence at all.

And, in light of the links Parados posted, you look like a damn fool now, don't you?

@Cycloptichorn,
Oh did Parados post some links? Show me. Show me where President Obama or any of his programs are directly criticized by a NBC, CNBC, or MSNBC commentator in any of them. All I have seen on any of those networks lately is that some of his programs are being criticized or opposed. Not that they should be criticized or opposed or that there is good reason to do so.

I did not vouch for the authenticity of any of my sources. I only cited them as evidence that the information is out there and that I am not talking through my hat.

You, however, continue to be unable to support anything you are saying about your claims.

I still win.

Those are the links he provided, and they clearly prove you wrong. Clearly.

Claiming 'I win' on an internet forum like this, when all you have brought to the table are rumors from sources you won't even support the authenticity of, is asinine and childish. It's really an admission that you are well aware of the weakness of your argument; why don't you just back down now, before things get worse for your position?

@Cycloptichorn,
Show where there is criticism of Obama or his policies in either of those links. They're discussing what other folks are saying about healthcare, but I don't see any fingers pointed at Obama, especially by the CNBC guys. Sure not clear to me.

Show me any evidence that the information provided by my sources is bogus or incorrect.

Until you do, I still win.

Show me a single named source or actual fact in the evidence you posted, Fox. I sure can't find one.

Until you do, I win - and you lose, as you were the original proponent of the idea. The burden lies on you to provide proof, and saying 'I heard a rumor that I can't vouch for' isn't proof of anything.

So, I win. Surely you agree, right? Because declaring 'I win' in internet forums unilaterally is something you think is appropriate. Right?

...

Christ, this is boring

@Cycloptichorn,
You're right. It's mind numbingly boring. And stupid. And non productive. So perhaps you'll think before making some silly statement supported by nothing other than your own prejudices. If I can't back up what I say, I try to remember to make it clear that it is purely my perception or my opinon. But if I am going to make what I believe to be a statement of fact, I jolly well expect to have to support my statement or at least make a good faith attempt to show a source for it. It is my opinion and perception that such a policy makes A2K a much more pleasant and useful forum.

Meanwhile, I win, and unless you can discredit my sources with something other than your own opinion, for me the debate is now closed.

@Foxfyre,
The first link is a link to a written commentary by Larry Kudlow. He is a CNBC guy since the show is named "The Kudlow Report."

Direct quote from Kudlow
Quote:
And while politics are not everything, I do believe that the shrinking prospects for Obamacare have been a big contributor to the stock market’s recent surge. This sweeping new government insurance plan would lead to high-tax-and-spend-and-borrow-and-regulate nationalized health care, a big economic negative. Ditto for nationalizing energy through cap-and-trade-and-tax. If these initiatives fail, it is very bullish for stocks and the economy.

Of course Fox will miss this as well.

Your sources didn't provide evidence to back up your quote, and you look like a fool for dragging this out. Unless you can provide actual evidence that GE ordered its' networks not to criticize Obama, you are doing nothing but making **** up.

And this piece is entitled
Quote:
President Obama's Dishonest Demagoguery on So-Called Tax Havens

http://www.cnbc.com/id/32049620

Unless Fox sees "dishonest" and "demagoguery" as good things, I don't think there is much doubt as to Kudlow's feelings.

@parados,
Rather hard to confuse this one with being supportive of Obama or his policies.
Quote:
There’s no question that current government policies for taxes, spending, and regulation are causing the U.S. to lose competitiveness in the global race for capital, prosperity, and growth.

...
And all this comes on top of the U.S. government’s takeover of auto companies, banks, AIG, Fannie, and Freddie. Instead of Schumpeterian gales of creative destruction, we’re on the road to economic demoralization.

What percentage of these clunker deals will be repos in a year or two? How is this helping anyone? It may help the repo guys business, thats about all. It will also drive up the cost of used cars, and parts, because it destroys wealth, it destroys stuff that is still usable. For a society that is not as wealthy as it should be, does it make sense to destroy stuff? Only in the mind of Obama, and his followers, I think is the answer. This has to be one of the biggest fiascos I have ever seen.

@hawkeye10,
Only time will tell all the results of this, but one thing is sure, anytime you insert artificial factors into the market, it always creates unintended consequences.

By the way, since when is $4,500 or less all that great of lifetime opportunity on a car that costs 20 some thousand? I guess I have always made deals with thousands off of a car anyway, so I am just wondering how many people are being suckered here?

@okie,
Yeah, but I bet you don't get any discounts when you trade in that clunker for $4,500. Probably all dickering and dealer incentives are gone, with the difference going to the dealer or GM.
