Dys refused to see the doctor, but after a few days of intense pain and not being able to walk, he gave in. I was able to get an appointment for midday on Friday.
Another factor in seeing the doctor is getting a prescription for pain pills and for me to find out about getting a hospital bed and part time nursing care. All of that requires a doctor's request.

For now, on a positive note, he is talking more, just slowly. The tiredness is constant. I remember that from his first stroke. He told me then that he would get up, start a pot of coffee, then need a nap. It is that way now. No surprise considering what his brain has been through.

Love to you all.

I found some slippers for the Dys that I'm sure he won't mind keeping on his feet. I just hope they have them in his size. His footprint on this earth is none too small.

Oh my gosh, btrflynet, those are perfect! I really am going to see if I can find a pair in his size. Thank you so much for bringing a big smile to my face and to Bob's, when he sees your post.

It would be hilarious if he were to suddenly receive a whole flock of them delivered to him. They're in Diane's size too.

@Francis,
Checking in. Still worried and waiting. Feeling pissy that he'll have to wait until tomorrow to see a doctor......

Love you both (don't buy the bs that gushing isn't appreciated by the old coot)

@littlek,
Talked to Diane this morning. A mutual male friend of mine and Diane's, who is a wonderful caring person, is going to carry Dys to the car and get him in the doctor's office. He is also going to build ramps on all house exits so Dys can get around in a wheelchair. Such a good friend to have. So much better than Diane and I trying to carry Dys and dropping him in the garage. Ouch!
