Perfect advice, djjd. Time to sleep, heal, and enjoy being a family again.
And time to find a job, start begging on the street corner, go into bankruptcy, etc.
No, no, your advice is what we need to concentrate on. And we will.
Just checking in and giving the thread a bump.
@Walter Hinteler,
Yes. Echoing Walter's sentiments.
Thinking of you both, dys & Diane. I hope things are a little gentler for you both today.
Did the prescription stuff-up get sorted out, I wonder?
reflections in crystal wind; bean home now for several days and looking back On the first day I met my surgeon who i saw every day, he was very informative as to my condition/prognonsis and expectations on the 3 dayI met a doctor who explained that he was a (hospiatlist) whatever that is and that he would make the decisions regarding my care and treatment. This resulted in meself getting different messagges as well as different tests/proceedures my patient status became flux, no knowing whether to order lunch or dinner as well as no planning around issues to me such as sleep. my meds were basically every 2 hours + plus constant monitoring of I.V. and O2. anyhoo I am still not all that clear re the ordeal and may have less than accurate.
I also discovered that although I need physical therapy I am not on the out-patient therapy list because my insurance does not cover it; Finally I am currently on coumadin/warfin treatment which must be monitored weeky but have no referral to the clinic. I see my primary care this coming monday so I hope many of my concerns will be taken care of.
On a good note I would say my pain is reduced %75 and I hope to be walking in a few months.
@dyslexia,
Well, at least they didn't stick you in a wheelchair and give you a shove when you came out of surgery.
@dyslexia,
Well, at least the good note is good.

I'm hoping many of those primary concerns will be sorted out for you on Monday, too, dys.
That's very good news about the reduction in pain ... is this helping you sleep better? Here's hoping.
Barging in obnoxiously, I saw Dys around noon and he had quite a grasp of stuff, all of it none of my business but I listen with a certain ear. His meds seem somewhat resolved. His getting up and down and getting around are right there, to me, given his weakness. He explained bone growth/femur/hip replacement to me - it is slow, but surer.
The good part is that he is stronger than when we last talked, and getting better.
@msolga,
I meant to end that post with,
waves/hugs to Dys.
Thanks for checking in and letting us know how you are, Dys. We're trying to give you some space to rest and recoup...trying not to bother you too much. It's very nice to hear from you, and I'm so glad the pain is lessening. Hope the doctor visit on Monday goes well, and you get the answers you want.
((((quiet, gentle hugs for Dys))))
@dyslexia,
Sometimes it pays to be a...
((Quietly leaves room , letting him sleep)))
Ill brush down his horse and give it some feed and water, and put im up in a nice stall.
We held a prayer meeting in new york. Italian catholics, german lutherans, texas fundamentalists, agnostics and a mennonite in a yamulke...we covered all the bases.

Thank you for your unswerving kindness.
Bernie's swerves are counted in that thank you.
@Diane,
Are you and Dys watching Arizona play Farmerman's Philadelphia Eagles, Diane?
@wandeljw,
Afraid not, wandel. Dys liked Colorado in their early days, but when they moved into the huge, corporate world he lost interest.
@Diane,
Say hi to the 'boy for me.
