Diane, thanks so much for posting. Take care of yourself too (and have a large supply of wet spaghetti on hand for the stubborn guy).
Thanks from me too, Diane. It's a good sign that you have the time and wherewithall to post.
Love from afar.....
Thank you for filling in the gaps, dianne. I'm pleased to hear things are improving because I actually always have liked Bob. I've never respected him but I do like him.
Thinking about you both, Diane, and hoping things go easy soon enough. I'm glad Dys is not close to dying because I'll be needing more time to come up with witty comebacks to his one-liners. Take good care of yourself in all this.

Dys and Diane have the weirdest friends!
BBB
Where on earth does the old cowboy get his determination? He is
amazing and stubborness has a lot to do with it, but he is actually
using his walker most of the time. For a painfully thin guy who has
been through the wringer, he has a strength that never fails to amaze
me.
The pain is still bad, but I and a friend had some left over pain pills
from one or two years ago, that have helped tremendously. Always
save your extras. You or a friend may need them and they don't seem
to lose their strength. He sees the doctor on Thursday and will get
his own prescription and, I'm sure, a referral for physical therapy.
I think he has left the worst symptoms behind and is well on his way
to a comfortable recovery. I have no doubt that he will be able to
walk again, at least with a cane, maybe with a walker.
I keep getting this hilarious mental image of you all dancing around
the tree on the 12th day of Christmas. We will supply the beer if the
She Wolf supplies little Bean for Bob. They have their own special way
of communicating that is something only the two of them understand.
What the rest of us understand is that, whatever it is they have, it is
beautiful. So the rest of you can stumble and careen around the tree,
I might join in, while the Bean brings the true meaning of Christmas to
the old cowboy. That will happen even if she is not here. What they
have doesn't change with time or distance.
What an amazing, stubborn, loveable Dys. He is my favorite Christmas
present.
