You, like McCain, just don't get it. Liberals respect and cherish the rights of ALL individuals regardless of their race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation. I may not agree with your opinions, but you're entitled to have them just like everyone else. The thing that gets a liberal's rancor up is when social conservatives use government as a means to impose their views on others through the operation of our laws and public policies. Oppression and tyranny cannot be tolerated in this country even if it's doled out by a hockey mom.

How frickin precious.

We must forgive Obama for not listening to us because he is too focused on finding bananas.

We must forgive Obama for not remembering history because to him the Quaran is the absolute text of God (and therefore history).

We must forgive Obama for not advancing the interests of America because his bitter and bitchy wife leads him around by his dick.

But your bile is clean, while mine is not.

We must forgive you for being a racist, misogynistic prig because you were bullied by your friend's sister as an adolescent.

@DontTreadOnMe,
Yeah, I'm the evil bastard you assert.

Hard not to argue that you are not the cemented a-hole that you are.

But we all have to live with the hand we are dealt.

Unless we happen to have been born in the Obama era, for is he not the expected one?

Does he not have the space between the teeth of The Prophet?

Does he not have the mole of The Prophet?

Oh my beloved, shall we not vote for Obama?

He has the ears of the elephant if not the Prophet.

He has the balls of the prophet.

Raise your arms and be cleansed of the Christian taint that has been forced upon you for al these years.

considering what good white christian conservative republicans have been doing to the american people over the last 20 years, having cemented a-hole would be a blessing.

@Debra Law,
Bullshit. Condi and Colin were routinely called Aunt Jemima and Uncle Tom.... The NAACP NOR NOW gave them the credit they so richly deserve for their accomplishments. Because those groups that are supposed to hold up women and blacks don't like their politics.

The NAACP and NOW should stop pretending to champion blacks and women respectively---and just admit they are liberal political groups.

@Lash,
Lash, good post. Liberal groups have been masquerading as civil rights groups, womens rights groups, environmental advocacy groups, all kinds of groups, but its all a facade. Many of us have been pointing this out for a very long time, as you just have again, to no avail.

@okie,
Interesting conclusion; when did the conservatives fight for a) civil rights, b) equal rights for gays and lesbians, c) women's rights, d) the environment, (e) geneva convention, and f) habeas corpus? Show me the ways.

@okie,
Cookie, not poor memory. Just to show me it is poor memory, tell me which conservative initiatives supported the civil rights issues?

BTW, my post was posed as a question on what conservatives did, and you responded with a ad homonym.

Conservatives convinced liberals to give up on slavery.

@cicerone imposter,
It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: Slavery, Secession, Segregation and now Socialism.

@okie,
okie, Martin Luther King Jr was a private citizen; he was never in any government office. Yes, he was a black man who fought for civil rights, but so did other "private" citizens who belonged to the republican party. We're talking about "what did the republican party do for civil rights?" You know, like promotion of legislation for minorities. Which republican congress member promoted civil rights? Is that so difficult a question?

It's really a simple question.

@cicerone imposter,
ci, I would think you would know some of this stuff? Eisenhower and the 1957 Civil Rights Act.

http://www.eisenhower.archives.gov/dl/Civil_Rights_Civil_Rights_Act/CivilRightsActfiles.html

This was at time when alot of Democrats were openly racists.

P.S. I posted the MLK thing because it showed that his party, the Republican Party, was the party of civil rights. The Democrats have since hijacked the movement and have turned the movement into one of socialism, but are still trying to call it civil rights, which I object to and disagree with.
