Congratulations on seeing the light at B-R, Joe.

And Jes - whoa! size 14 (and 11 sizes)! Damn, that's really great!

I'll be back this evening with my weekend info. I'm hoping to stay home and out of restaurants for a while.

@mac11,
Yay to everybody, specially Jes but also JoeN and Mac.

Thera flu queen (2 more packs since last mentioned with some honey) has been eating funny and not memorizing it. Over the days, lots of teas, several scrambled eggs in tortillas, craved and ate strong olives, a couple of packets of saag paneer (especially delicious with sore throat, but too much damned salt in those packets), chicken broth with veggies, soda crackers and (!!!) microwaved brie. Oh, chocolate ice cream. I'm going to hell, I know it..

Tomorrow I'll behave.

So sorry about the flu, O. I've been trying to avoid any person on the subway who appears to be flushed in the slightest and if they cough I hold my nose and mouth shut for the next 100 seconds...... then get out of that car ASAP. So far this Winter and Spring so good.

I've been celebrating too much.

@jespah,
That's okay, dearie. I forgot what I ate yesterday already...
I know dinner was a piece of homemade pan bigio, toasted, a slice of ital fontina, and a small avocado, with grape juice on ice. Earlier in the day has evaporated.

Jes, as an inhabiter of this territory, I see getting to size 14 from 16 as a signifier, personally. I'm mostly in mediums and 14's now and remain clammily happy about it.

@Joe Nation,
At this point I am just about completely in a 14. But am also a large or XL half the time. Some of this has to do with lingering large triceps. The shirt fits just fine except for the sleeves half the time. Got m'dress for a Bar Mitzvah in early May. Size 14, fits like a charm. So, go figya.

Once again my regular nutrition site is down.

Ok, seven sizes makes more sense. I've lost eight - now in size 12 pants and mostly L tops. I've bought a couple of medium tops, which was damned exciting.

@jespah,
friday -

coffee, piece of toast with butter

cheese enchilada plate, left a lot of it. (Good, but I was too busy talking and coughing) I usually take a doggie bag as I can make soup with the beans, but this time I didn't.

made my own saag paneer. Big time-consumer although it could go faster. Alas, I like the packaged stuff better. Made the paneer, which involves taking a half gallon of milk and adding five tablespoons of lemon juice, and draining that into cheesecloth, squeezing. Next time I'd at least some salt to that. Washed and cut up two bunches of spinach including most of the stems. Sauteed two biggish onions, chopped, and three minced garlic cloves, and an inch of peeled and chopped ginger in a couple of tablespoons of canola. Added 3 dried red chiles, a couple of tbs of very diced tomatoes, a tablespoon of hot tamarind curry, 3/4 tsp salt, let it all simmer and meld, then added the spinach gradually. When that cooked down, added half and half and a little sour cream. Added the now chilled and cut up paneer.
Eh! Now I have a container of spicy spinach goop. Needs more spinach to counter all the onions and, in particular, all the ginger.

Have to try this again. Less ginger, maybe more chile, as my dried chiles are sort of on death's door.

Glass of rum and chocolate milk.
