@mac11,
Re my gradual weight loss too -

Starting weight around Sept. 2005: 186
(have been usually in my life between 125 and 145, but got as high as 190 at some point, I think back when I was in landarch school and working too, eating for comfort).
Present weight, Oct 2008: +/- 151

You can tell I like slow weight change at my level of overweightness. I've bounced around before and would rather have the weight steady. My goal, should I accept it, would be in the low 140's - anything lower would be "gravy". But that will come with increased exercise. So, my real goal is not to just eat crap because it's easier.

@Joe Nation,
I'm frustrated too Joe.

I tend to retain water (seriously, I take a diuretic).
I was fine for a while, then 2 or 3 days ago, my ring has gotten tight, and weight shot up 3 pounds.

It'll go down, just have to keep eating right. Drink more fluids

Ususal eggbeaters with onion/mushroom
cranberry/pom juice
Flax oil

quinoa salad made with carrots/onion/sunflower seeds/tomato/basamic vinegar

snack cup of soy pudding.

eggplant parm, ate too much.....

water w/ lime

@shewolfnm,
shewolf, quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah) is a South American grain - a little bigger than couscous, with a spiral shape when cooked and an interesting texture. One of the most unique things about it is that it is a complete protein.

I've bought it at Whole Foods and Central Market in the bulk bins. I found Inca Red Quinoa at my neighborhood HEB, but haven't cooked it yet.

@mac11,
shewolf - just make sure you rinse the quinoa well, or it will taste bitter. I put it in a big bowl of water and rub it through my hands, then rinse through a fine sieve.

Quiona Salad (with all the veggies)
1/2 glass cran/pom juice

2 doctor krackers
cheddar cheese
cottage cheese
1 small apple

soy corn dog

fish
collard greens
spaghetti with sauce

baked beans
