Oopsie, I forgot to report yesterday. I'm actually feeling pretty dang elated. I was so unbelievably bored and underutilized, it wasn't funny. So while I feel badly for the people, and I miss them (my poor assistant is distraught; I'm meeting her for lunch on Wednesday, many big hugs will be exchanged), I don't miss the work one iota. Time to reinvent myself, yet again. Smile

@George,
Back from my five day visit from my cousins here in Albuquerque, three day trip in rv across the southwest, four days of good eats in the san diego area, and ten days of off and on delicious eats and not so great in the Los Angeles area. Some big treats in there - first the burger with brie and mushrooms that I had when CJane and I met, already mentioned either in this thread or on the one about the trip. Then there was the sun choke puree soup at Joe's in Venice, followed by slow roasted salmon filet on bed of greens.. and this last Saturday, a luncheon with my smartass group pals at a beach house - that included homemade enchiladas (one of the friends mother who recently died at 97's recipe, which the friend gave us all) and butter lettuce and avocado salad with buttermilk/jalapeno/fresh dill dressing - oh, and pineapple coconut rums on ice. Uh, followed by chocolate torte and ice cream and coffee. Tad of perrier in there as a breather.
On the other hand, I ate only breakfast yesterday (flight day), albeit that was a good breakfast.

So I lost a pound or two, just checked my weight and it's 146. Yaaaaay.

Interesting, most of my s.a.g. pals have lost weight since I last saw them too. Pretty healthy group now in our beginning medicare years.

Item I learned on the trip - I like good whole grained bread toasted and with three pepper hummus on it. Almost as good as real butter..
