You have claimed to "consistently" argue that the Pledge be "stopped."

Or am I wrong?

What is it with you guys that you can't resist bleating "Strawman!"

You have claimed to "consistently" argue that the Pledge be "stopped."

Why is "consistantly" and "stopped" in quotes?

I have not. I've only said that it doesn't mean anything to me anymore because I don't think the nation honored in the pledge is the one we live in. I think when the pledge was amended to include "under god" into it, it became cheap. Cheap in that, if we are so easily swayed by the fear of a godless foreign power that we will become so pathetically reactionary, it's just not made of stone; no fortitude.

Quite often. It's your Modus Operandi.

A strawman by definition is what you have constructed here. You have mischaracterized what I've said, and argued against something I have not said. That's straw Finn. If you're used to hearing it, perhaps it's you who is the lowest common denominator; maybe you should revist your debate style/template if you hate hearing it so much.

My goodness you are right, and I was wrong.

It was brandon who "consistently" argued the Pledge should be "stopped."

My apologies for misquoting you. Embarrassed

Apology accepted. On a different note. You've been changing your avatar super frequently lately. Having a hard time finding one just right? What are you going for?
