What Obama recently said about black men needing to grow a set and be real fathers was written in the Waco Tribune in February, 2008, during black history month, by Ted Nugent.

I don't know why you're a racist, but it's certainly not because you're white, and I neither said nor implied any such thing. If I had to guess; I'd guess that's the way you were raised and/or let personal experiences in your life distort your judgments on large groups of people based on the actions of a relative few. At the end of the day; I think deliberate ignorance pretty much covers it.

I give you partial credit for not disguising your racism most of the time. Not sure why; but for some reason I think covert racism is worse. I suspect it's because the overt variety allows for onlookers to see the idiotic reasoning taken apart, while the covert variety goes largely unnoticed.

I love the idea that a black man or a woman forever from this time has a chance to become president. But, if Obama was a Republican, he would not have my vote, for I will go Democratic this election, no matter what. Fortunately, Obama has the intelligence and the right slant on enough policies that I feel relatively comfortable with him.

As a Texan, I know my vote for the state will likely be cancelled out by a white majority. We will never change that much until forced by circumstance to do so.
