I'm not knocking Obama. I'm not trying to pick a fight. I just want to know... how many times do Obamas volunteers, staff, adivsers et al... do questionable things and then Obama comes out and says "That doesn't represent me or my campaign or the way I think" and that makes everything all right and no one begins to question even a little bit?

How many times?

Haven't read your link but I'm going to guess it's happened at least a few times. I wanted to give you an answer before reading the context, so I'll go read that now and be back.

Ok, yeah, that bugs me. A bit worse than the "we need more white people" incident.

<snicker>

Integrity falls once again on the sword of political expediency.

Or, that really sucks.

See, I think that when you say 'I'm not knocking Obama,' you're lying. Otherwise, what are you getting at?

I would like to know what you thought he should have said or done.

You've become quite the concern troll lately...

It isn't knocking him to say he's as disingenuous as they come....it's the truth.

He also gaffed again this week when trying to be 'factual'....that isn't knocking him either. He's a walking f**k up, that isn't knocking him either, it's the truth. McGaffe should be his running mate. Laughing Oops...that was a knock, I'll let readers decide on who.

What's clear is that two different volunteers at the same event both believed that they should not allow women with head scarves to sit behind Obama. That means it was someone's policy if not Obama's and/or the campaigns. That person should be fired, and the two women should be seated behind him in the next rally.

The problem here is, most candidates I have ever followed have had the same problem. There will be no perfection in the White House, no matter hwo gets elected.

Can you name a candidate in history that this hasn't been true of?

For that matter, do you want to defend the behavior of McCain's supporters Bear?

I agree, FD. Cyclo, really! You think this was ok? Maybe it will help if you try to imagine this was McCain's campaign and not Obama's...

Both Koussan and Miller said they specifically recalled the volunteer citing the "political climate" in telling them they couldn't sit behind Obama

Miller huh?

This whole thing smells funny to me.....

No, it wasn't okay; but I don't really see what it has to do with Obama, and I don't see what was wrong with his response; that was the question which started the thread.

Can you tell me what was wrong with his response?

This is an assertion on your part, unsupported by fact or logical argument. Which part of his response was a lie, specifically?

Very weak.
