And SNOOD! fits this description? Are we talking about the same person? Have you read his posts?
Yes, for many years now.
He's always honest, for one. He doesnt play games with you. He's also honest enough to criticise his own "side" politically, like
now on Wright.
He's definitely got something worthwhile to say, even if I dont always agree with him. And he brings insights that I dont hear from anyone else here -- yes, as a black man, and as a military man, for two. And to the extent that he's got a chip on his shoulder, it's hardly difficult to guess where it came from.
Besides, even though he's got a ferocious temper on him and its no fun to be on the receiving end of that, he's also a mensch about it. He'll just as soon recognize you as just another human being doing your best, and just like he can go after you hard, he can turn around if he discovers he was wrong and openly criticise himself and apologise, even when it's not asked or expected. Like with O'Bill two or three months ago. Not many who can do that. Definitely not here online, on the Politics forum.
Sure, a lot of the to and fro of posts here will be throwaway comments, and they're often of the harsh or snide variety (and you give as good what you get, when it comes to that). But I've also seen many Snood posts that really made me think again about a subject or reflect, and others that said what I'd wanted to say but better.
