One of these days someone else will overtake you as the poster child for the irrational leftists at this site. But until that day ...

Maporsche, it is what the partisans of any politician attempt to do to that politician's opponents.

No, I understand that this is what they do. It just seems a little contradictory to complain when people do it to their Saviour...I mean Obama.

Well, personally, i expect childishness and vituperation among the partisans of politicians. It goes with the territory. As for the general issue of hypocrisy, that's a human pandemic, and has been eternally.

You misspelled "all."

If it were your inference that i am an Obama supporter, you would be wrong. I'll hold my nose and vote for anyone whose last name isn't Bush or McCain.

I just read this on the internet so it must be true. in fact I posted it on another thread but I think it bears repeating (no pun intended).

re: Obama and the good Reverend.

actually it was a meaningless joke referring to your use of all them big words nothing more or less. the fact that I was able to get in a little poke at the superiority complex wing of the obama party was just a bonus.

as always I hold the big dawg in the highest regard

Is "James" a form of "John"?

That's odd. I wasn't sure of his first name so I Googled "James Hagee" and came up with enough results to convince me that his name was James. Looks like plenty of others made the same mistake. Or else John Hagee has an evil twin out there.

I mean an eviler twin.

Maybe everyone else is confusing him with Dobson?

They all look alike to me.

No, that would be Rod "Let's Destroy Islam" Parsley.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right ... clearly Hagee will have more influence on McCain than Wright would have on Obama.

I'm glad we agree on that point.

We usually do, Joe.

That's what I like about the people who agree with me. I find them so rational and level-headed.

Maybe he can erase his dealings with Rezco while he is at it.

It has been a few months since I last looked at the Faith-based group page on the Obama website, but I don't remember Wright ever being mentioned on that page to begin with. The group wasn't created to highlight Wright or the UCC church. It was a group of ministers from many different faiths coming together to show their support for Obama.

What is new on there is this disclaimer: "Endorsements from religious leaders are extended in their personal capacity, and not on behalf of any house of worship, organization or denomination. "

Nappy,

Do you have a link to something showing references to Wright ever existed on that page?

Ah, the testimonials page. Yeah, that page has changed a few times. I mistook it for the main page of the Faith Group section.

Interesting list of people giving testimonies there.

Interesting who's no longer giving testimonies, as well.

Francis Schaeffer may have an axe to grind (and books to sell), but as far as I know no candidate in this upcoming presidential election has asked his father to advise his or her campaign.

The insincerity of your prior remark is duly noted.

Do you believe McCain sought out Parsley as a spiritual guide, Joe? Calling someone "a spiritual guide" is certainly not the same as calling that person "my spiritual guide."

If McCain had praised Parsley for being "a spiritual guide, just not my spiritual guide," I might agree that there is a distinction there.
