I just tuned in to check the action and didn't intend to post but I can't let this go any longer----I see many references to the "extreme right". I thought I made my postion clear that extremism on either side is very dangerous and destructive to the citizens of this country.

I equate extreme right with Hitler, fascism, skinheads, and the KKK. I don't see anyone here that fits that mold nor do I see anyone in the administration that fits that mold. I would consider it an extreme insult for anyone here to attempt to place me in that category.

Bye for now Twisted Evil

An old lady was watching her son in a parade: "My my, everyone is out of step except my dear Johnny."

Perc, I always sorta envision myself standing on the Pedestrian Island, doin' my own thing and more or less just watchin' the various parades go by on all sides. By and large, I just ain't much of a "Joiner" ... I'm more of a skeptical pragmatist of indifferent morals but strong ethics and vigorous opinion. I gotta figure I'm pretty Politically Incorrect in the view of most who would unquestioningly champion any particular Politic.

Yup that's fair enough and I always thought that even though we have differing views we were probably all in the SAME parade and that's the one that envisions a better life for all with a particular emphasis on the citizens of this country. The reason for the emphasis on the citizens of this country is because I have no loyalty to any other country or it's citizens and I don't want to tell them anything about how to run their country----I would however really like this country to prosper and be more secure. Now I don't really know how many participants of this thread are not citizens of this country I would suggest that unless your various countries are perfect then it is rather foolish for you to tell how to run our country. Anyone who enjoys listening to criticism from citizens of other countries is masochistic

We can and should learn from the lessons of history but listening to biased and politically motivated criticism from outside our country is analagous to eating bovine excretment.

perc,

Does that apply to our criticism of other countries? Think NK, Iraq...

Invasion is extreme criticism.

We have a right to protect ourselves and you know what they say about the best defense-----its with the best offense-----the first thing you do in aerial combat is to turn into the attacker and then use every littlel advantage to gain complete advantage and shoot the SOB out of the sky.

still says nothing about how you criticise other nations but don't want to hear what they have to say.

If they have progressed to the point where they are a threat this country then they have lost the right to be listened to.

You said nothing about that perc, you were talking about the Europeans here and other foreigners who are not a threat to the US but who you still wish to ignore.

Does this logic also hold true for countries who believe the US has progressed to the point where it is a threat to their country and need not be listened to?

Give me one instance where we have invaded another country who did not first threaten us or where we were not invited by that gov't to intervene. All the other perceived threats by other countries are without factual basis and are politically motivated IMO.
