Making a point: Someone who would do all the things you just described Obama as doing, is a flip flopper.

Your turn.

If Obama had not been associated with sort of a whacked out pastor for many years, and if Michelle Obama had not made a few revealing statements, we might conclude Obama is not problematic, snood. Obama is what he is, you can't change it, and his record is what he will be judged on. Perhaps you would like him to be judged on something else?

I think these are issues whether he is black, brown, green, white, yellow, or red. And as for me, I have been on record as opposing any Democrat that exhibits problematic records. In fact, of the current crop of Democrats, I have liked Obama the best to this point, but as his record becomes examined in greater detail, it is increasingly troubling, which proves one thing, it is his record, not his personal likeability.

We? Anyone other than Jesus Christ himself would be "problematic" to YOU if he or she ran as a Democratic. Stop the bullshit. No one with any sense is buying your drool.

Watch Hagee call Catholicism a false cult.

Calling him a flip flopper for doing the things I described in my facetious post is just weird, because he would first have to be some anti-american islamic fascist in order to be "flip-flopping" by becoming super-duper lapel pin wearing jingo-patriot. I don't happen to think of him as a bad ole hate-america-first librul, so I think your "flip-flopper" makes about as much sense as just about everything else you post. Zip.

Now "sissy", on the other hand... Laughing

Calling me a sissy in response to my facetious post is weirder yet. Snap.

Of course, in all those video replays of McCain and Hagee stepping up to the microphone together, the big third fellow there on the right was Cornyn.

This, from you who tried to tag me with 'bunkie' ?

You are playing the slime game, snood.

I really would've thought this type of behavior to be far beneath you, but you seem to be working hard to prove me wrong.

If your use of the word 'bigot' is for those who hold fast to ANY opinion, then you must apply it to yourself as well.

But in the common usage , 'bigot' is often synonomous with 'racist', and in the context of a racial discussion there is no reason to interpret it to mean anything but 'racist'.

So, your usage of 'bigot' to describe Hagee carries the meaning of Hagee as a racist. But you claim you're not saying he's a racist.

That is why I asked for your distinction.

It appears you are just using the word sloppily in an effort to discredit Hagee because you are angry about his endorsement of McCain.

Believe me, snood, I don't need any more reasons to dislike McCain. I dislike him already.

But he'll be head and shoulders above either Obama or Clinton as President (just as Bush was head and shoulders above either Gore or Kerry) and that's why he'll get my vote. Not because Hagee endorsed him.

What the Democrats need to do is improve their candidates to force the Republicans to improve theirs.

I'm tired of picking between mediocre and bad for President.

But I'll still vote mediocre. I won't just stay home, I promise you.

Well , we could start with the fact that he had one of the most liberal voting records in the US Senate.

Why don't the Dems put forth a moderate as their candidate?

Why don't you try supporting someone instead of tearing someone down?

The fact is that both Clinton and Obama are far to the right of the liberal wing of the party. Only an extreme right winger would see Obama or Clinton as far left. Obama has a liberal voting record but his overall platform is moderately liberal. If Obama was as liberal as the right-wing wackos try to claim, he wouldn't get so much support from moderates, Republicans and independents.

I do support someone -- McCain.

But I'm not blind to his faults. There's plenty.

Just as I supported Bush, but I am not blind to his faults either.

He was just the best choice between mediocre and bad.

If you expect me to get all starry eyed over a candidate, then you've got the wrong view of how I evaluate candidates.

I look at what they do, not just what they say.

His actions speak louder than words.

Sometimes it's his lack of action.

I think 'Present' Obama's persistent aversion to tough decisions in the Illinois legislature ought to give even the staunchest liberal serious reservations about him.

But they seem too enamored by his flowery rhetoric.
