You guys look so happy together - can feel the strength of your friendshp.

Thank you for the great pictures.
So far, the photos have been wonderful, especially of the mountains and Anthro Pottery.
I told RH that I usually die a thousand deaths when I see my own pic, but these aren't too awful. I think it was Just Brooke who said we looked like a 'feel good' bunch and she's so right. Each minute was fun with the best company.
Walter's comment was typical of anyone who visits NM and finds friendliness and beautiful scenery. Then msolga pipes up and suggests everyone move to New Mexico. That's when my brain said, "Yes! A commune of a2kers. Of course we would all have to have our own houses with enough space around them for vegetable gardens and for neighbors to remain friends. Vital for a bunch of strong-minded people. It's something to enjoy thinking about.
Margo, you are exceptionally observant. I'm not too sure what the critter is--maybe a gecko? He is not house trained because I am such a sloppy eater, but he does wash up well.
Izzie, you are spot on about strength of friendship. Even though osso and Dys and I have known each other for years, we'd only known Rockhead online. That was the first time we had met him in person.
I hope you have the opportunite to attend an a2k gathering. The people you meet in person are so often just like their a2k personas. Looks might be different than expected, but those who are honest writers, are just as terrific as they are on a2k.
BTW, RH had some heartfelt things to say about the friends he has made on a2k. I hope to meet all of his friends.
Can't wait 'til May!

STILL! They needed teachers and nurses in NM when I lived there 15 years ago. There were billboards along the highway saying so.
A coterie of pals here are teachers, great women. Well, the husbands aren't bad either..
Lovely pics!
Osso, kudos on the colors you wore to the pottery studio, and on color coordinating the top with the crocs -- i particularly appreciate color coordination
(and I have the same color sweater, my most favorite color ever.)
Dag, that very sweater is a prime example of my rather unusual penchant for picking clothes because I like them and not how the color works with my so called complexion. You can tell I'm color mad, though I also like black, brown, navy, grey. The crocs are actually Faux crocs, from a 2 pairs for $5. sale at Walgreens.

A commune! Might as well be on Mt. Everest. A garden? You mean with doit and woims?
Love ya, Diane, but this is definitely an exclusionary suggestion--shuts out all people who need fat air and pavement beneath their feet. Otherwise, not a bad idea.
Well, I wouldn't mind a pied a terre in New York City, when my ship comes in. But wait, I don't see any boats.....

osso querida, You ain't gonna see any boats way up in the mountains. Well, maybe little lake boats, but not boats big enough to get you a pied a terre in NYC.
A community of a2kers sounds wonderful (more or less). Doesn't have to be in da Big Apple. Just a place closer to sea level with buildings, not just houses. Houses make me noivous.
Hey margo, Maybe you and osso and a few others could chip in for a pied a terre. Up by Joe Nation (Inwood/Washington Heights), it ain't too expensive. By me and Kicky, fuggedaboudit.

I love the one of the osso, dys, and diane!!! Those calzones look fantastic. And the scenery is fantastic.
I've got a copy of one that you might not have in your current list, osso. I love this one too.... (s'ok, I've got permission).

Not sooooo far from my short time in NYC childhood home. That would be just fine. 'Course I need a ship just to chip in. But as a fantasy, I like it.
