I've walked down the steps from the puebelo to the culture center Acoma - quite an experience .... and some dozens of rocky pics.
(Oh, and I took a closer phto of those potteries, dys posted above: they clearly prove the deb has been there.)

One of these days it'll happen, perhaps meeting half way.
Curmudgeon is such a perfect word when describing Dys. He's a sweet old curmudgeon
Diane
I was pleasantly surprised -that's flying Qantas and avoiding United Airlines like the plague. It's not doable at present - but as the Oz dollar nears parity with the greenback - something we haven't seen for over 20 years, it at least raises the question!
But.... I'd have to stay away from that pottery.
And be prepared to be treated as a filthy criminal by US Immigration staff

Ok, I'm not saying you would be welcome but we do have a guest room.

If I give enough notice I'm coming, you'll have sufficient time to leave the country!
Dys stayed behind on the Mesa Walk.. I should have. I had a tough time and when I looked up, a world great vista. Excruciating predicament -- I'm still crying (have been near screaming) now many hours later from some kind of panic/relief - no, not re the mesa height, but re not quite seeing the footing, all the imbedded rocks, endless embedded rocks and dips. Still not sorry I did that, but I went into eye tharn (and yes, Diane and another woman tried to help. It's hard to rock skip near endless rocks leaning on someone. One instinctually doesn't want to lean, better to skip if you can. I chose not to as I may have brought them down besides tieing up myself.) I started crying towards the end, when I could not get near enough to the speaker to hear and people pealed off in different directions.
I plan to write this up for the Pueblo to help them figure out tours. I wouldn't have gotten into the main rock thicket if I'd known about it beforehand, or known an alternative route.
Back at the Cultural Center I met an elegant woman with cane who skipped the walk. Smart cookie.
But from this, I say still reeling, were views from the mesa, lifetime great views.
Also, that "walk" wasn't so hard on a lot of other people. Uh, normals...
McTag -
Now, does this look like anyone at the meet, minus a few years?

Why do you blush for being such an attractive woman, Mame?
McTag is such a connoisseur!
I am Mame's biggest Scottish fan.
You guys blew your timing. McCain was in Albaturkey yesterday.

It looks pretty good on you too, babe ! Francis is right.
Dont doubt it for one second. Mame is very pretty. She just doesnt think so
Mame is very pretty. McTag and I need to remember that we have wives. (Francis is single, though.)
Hey you guys, Enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures. I'm still sulking that no one had the decency to move Albuquerque to a lower elevation and closer to the East Coast. I'll get over it.
Glad you all had a great time.
We missed you, Roberta. To start with, we never had bagels, much less bialys. No brisket... We'll have to work this out again.
See, Mame? I told you that you should buy that thingy. Everyone agrees...it looks great on you. The black underneath really does make the colors pop, just like the salesman said. And it suits your coloring.
(I was also right about NOT buying one for myself! It just didn't work the same on me.)

Hubba- hubba!
I'm just wondering what Mame was thinking about when that picture was taken. She just looks Soooooooooooo something.
