Bring msOlga and the wabbit with you. New Mexico would never be the same.

Perhaps a bit of a feast to come, thinking, Pappardelle al Sugo di Lepre...

Nah, just teasing.

I was in and around Taos today, had just some rain .... but it always stopped (nearly) when I left the car.

Prayed for all the witches in the church of 'El Santuario' and lit a candle for those, who aren't enough to show up here.

Well, I bought some postcards in Taos, though that I could buz the stamps in one of the many post offices on my way which are in Indian villages on the 84.

'Five stamps for postcards to Europe, please.'
"Jane, do you how much it is for a postcard to Europe?"
"No."
"Angela, do you know ..."
Angela from the background:"No, I don't. But they might hve gone up."
First postwoman: "I'll phone."
"Hi Irener. ... Fine, and how are you?... No, we didn't go there. ... That's excellent.... Oh, the reason why I phone you: do you know how much it is for a postcard to Europe? .... I think that's the old price, must be more now ... I see, I'll wait. .... 94 cents, fine. ... I'll call you again later."

Second postwoman to Walter "$4.70, sir".

Got the stamps from the "phoning postwoman", paid and asked:
"Could I have those blue 'by airmail labels, too, please?'
"You mean those blue ...?"
'Yes, please."
"I'm sorry, I think, we never had them here."

Oh, and I pictured of course some rocks, just and only for BBB

'Snowy grains' in Taos itself. The mountains showed some snowy pads in the morning, when I arrived - I lot more in the afternoon.

Walter, my finger is too tired to lift at the thought of seeing photos of more of your damn rocks!

Glad you didn't get soaked. We had a firce storm here. At least two homes lost their roofs and many trees down from the wind.

Not sure what that is about, BBB, but I appreciate Walter's photography, Shewolf's, and Mame's. All different, way different. Shewolf is a deep portraitist, such that people will stop in their tracts to look. Walter is a landscape/urbanist with keen eye. Mame is quick with camera flick with a great read.

Osso, the finger and rock photos joke for Walter is from the satire I wrote describing our evening at D & D's house so don't get your knickers twisted.

OK, one last photo. I could ask for approval on this and the more distant other photos of them posted recently, but both folks are busy, seeming laissez faire, and these have seemed ok. (Awaits knives.)

My newest idea is to ask re the iffys. Trouble is figuring out what is iffy.

OK, Mame and Thomas on Bench with Friend ---

Is that Francis in the photo with Mame and Thomas? He did say that he'd love to be there with you all. Is this his version of incognito?

Dys,

loved your memorial to the last of that which isn't always right.

It invokes memories of a trip to the Georiga Okeefe exhibit in LA with BBB many years ago, as do a lot of Shewolf's photos.

Y'know, butryfly, I've never thought of Francis in quite that guise, but now that you mention it, you may have something there..

I'll add a few of the lower Canyon Road area before posting SATURDAY'S photos. Found the roll in my coin purse. I hardly ever use my coin purse. I have it in my regular purse as it was a present... oh, never mind.

This is pre-getting to the car to move to Canyon Road -

This is Thomas walking towards the terrace area of Turkish Row. I was aiming my lens at the dress. Finally a wide enough dress....
