BBB
I think I'm having A2K gathering withdrawal symptoms, missing everyone so very much and wishing they all lived in Albuquerque. The old town would never be the same. Life felt so good while they were here!

Ah.. me too.

I have truly decided that I am not at home here in this city .
I dont have the family/friends that I have there.
I have scattered few people that I truly love.. but inviting them all would never fill my home like that..

(sigh)

Where would you like to live, shewolf? How long have you been in Austin?

It was wonderful seeing you all (some again, some for the first time). It was terrific being back in the desert Southwest again after twenty years.

I posted at my journal about what we did, and only a little about y'all (no pics, just links):

http://brainsandeggs.blogspot.com/2008/05/highlights-of-our-southwest-tour.html

For those of you who haven't A2K'd offline and in the flesh: meeting these people in person is all that, people.

P.S. I promise to be around here more often, avoiding the toxicity of the political forums (just clicking in momentarily to those while I was here was ... hoo boy, revoltingly reminiscent. No More of That.)

Hah! That's what I said when first meeting Thomas. I said "You're not Thomas!" Much more handsome than his avatar. Will Thomas change his avatar photo to the one Shewolf took?

No, Shewolf. He had a former avatar that expressed the online Thomasness so much better.

The big regret is spending so little time with the PDiddies. Just couldn't get them interested in Old Town and museums of natural history, or myself interest in Santa Fe. If I hadn't planned to leave on Sunday, Acoma might have worked.

Hey - don't you guys get it - it's FUN!! It's an adventure Very Happy Sort of like having Roger or Thomas navigate for you... ha ha ha

I'm soooooo looking forward to the two jobs - challenges, both, for different reasons.

And shewolf - you'll answer for that one of these days - maybe if we ever have a meet in Hong/Raincouver Smile

Ya know, Columbus had no idea how lucky he was to be working for Isabella. He made four trips to the new world. No silk, no spices, no nothing, but he had her believing he had made it to India till the very end. Columbus never met Mame.

Actually, Roger, I used your name in vain! You had nothing to do with the navigational difficulties I experienced but I just had to slander you to get your attention Very Happy

I wish I'd been able to say goodbye to you. I enjoyed our day at the Museum and Old Town. It was really because of you that I bought that lacy top.

Great pictures, particularly shewolf's portraits, very deep.

BBB keeps getting younger.

... and what was dys's car doing on the road, with the dreamcatcher and all?

It all reminded me of the good days I had in Albaturkey.

Waiting for osso's photos to show up ...

(120 mph it was, fb. Due to the traffic and 'double fine zones' on the freeway.)

It's too quiet here. You all left too soon. Damn, when can you come back?

The time we had together was what good friends and good company are all about.

I've loved the photos and the descriptions from all of you. It's a joy to read the posts and to be able to hear your voice behind them.

Baloney. You bought that top because the salesman wanted to get in touch with your feminine side.

Er...I mean his.

(No, I don't.)

Still, it looked great on you. MUCH better than they looked on me. Laughing

Checking back for more photo's... Were the pictures of the camera just a tease? Like, we're supposed to guess what pics are still on it?

C'mon! I need more pics!

(Reviewing again, I musta missed the one of Mame and the one of Dys and Bean holding hands the first time through. They are wonderful!)

I just finished getting the photos on photobucket. Lot of them taken by me in wildly bright light and doctored, others in darkness which is another problemo for moi.. Which is my way of saying they're - eh, so so. But I'm sentimental about them already anyway. What a petunia..

Soon, soon.
