Still time to change your mind, amigo.

Ya know, shewolf, someday, I'm going to steal that line, and use it myself. Apologies in advance.
I was searching out maps of Alb and discovered that there is an arrow pointing to the "American International Rattlesnake Museum." How could yall have not mentioned that as a "must see" place?

because it is nothing but a gift shop
bummer about the rattlesnake musuem.
I haven't been there. Neither have I been to the Turquoise Mueeum.. Well, hey, I haven't been to most of the museums.
I managed to forget to call the parks about matters like trees/shade, any seats.. though I did notice on the Tingley Park site an actual beach and an overhanging tree.
Turquoise museum is a big jewelry shop with one large rock for 'show' close to the center of the shop.
Thats it...
just another tourist trap
That rattlesnake place. Is it American or International?
Then there's the Unser Museum of Racing, or something like that. I saw it. Didn't stop, but I saw it.
Roger, Al Unser raises Arabians--I saw one on the cover of a horse magazine in a vet hospital when my cousin was taking her dogs in for a check up. It was the most beautiful Arabian I had ever seen. He was putting it out for stud. If he would let us visit his horses instead of the cars, I'd be there in a minute.
Speaking of museums, well it's not a museum, but if you go to the hat shop that's been mentioned, the Kimo theatre is nearby. During business hours you can take a look inside -- it's been beautifully restored and is really worth seeing.
Sorry, Francis, you'll have to fill me in on DHS. I've been thinking up words and I'm up to: Devious Horse Scammers. That's not it, I'm betting.
Hey,Tai Chi, one of my favorite Canadians has come up with an excellent idea. The Kimo is really interesting. Albuquerque can look like a dusty typical run-down Southwestern town, but the citizens have tried to save some of the Art Deco buildings. It makes for a decorative and historic downtown.
And while we're in the neighborhood, do stop by the hat shop, they have some incredible Stetsons there, from reasonably priced up to $600 or more.
Department of Homeland Security. It is kind of alarming when a good old boy NASCAR driver starts messing around with Arabians. Good catch, Francis
Thanks, roger. Here in OK, "DHS" usually refers to the state's Department of Human Services. That's who we have to notify in cases of child abuse, etc. I was trying to figure out what Francis was accusing Unser of doing to those horses.
See, Diane? You're not the only one who's clueless.
The DHS already knows since weeks where I'm staying
They always know where unser Walter is...
