Actually, I have a feeling Mame can play with the best, so I'm also pretty sure she feels no need to be an adult alllll the time. Wait until she meets us!!!

Like I said...

she is a trip. A rip roaring broad who could slug down the nearest tree with her perfectly manicured hands.

hands out booger jokes ( sometimes with boogers) as if it is nothing

Jetting across the country because 'she can'

HA!

Adult indeed..

More like the goddess Brighid
Cool

WOW! Albuquerque might actually wake up.

BTW, those Dukes of Albuquerque got around. ABQ is called Duke City.

Yeah, but mostly because John Wayne passed through on his way to Hollywood. Don't fall for that stuff about foreign dukes.

So, we may have another restaurant to add to the list.

Dys and Diane and I went up to the Santa Ana Pueblo native garden nursery in the Bernalillo area (north of Abq) and afterwards stopped for lunch at the Range Cafe. All three of us loved our meals. Dys was surprised, didn't remember it being that good.

I did my usual new mex food test by ordering a chile relleno with a blue corn batter and a chicken tamale and beans and rice. (They even have burritos with squash and corn, cabalacitos (?) I think was the name.) The beans and rice were exceptional, for sure homemade pintos, the rice being unusually edible for such fare. The tamale was the best I've eaten in new mexico, and the relleno was among the best I've ever had, but, not perfect for ms. picky. Close though. I think D & D both ordered The Roundup, but I wasn't paying attention. Lest this all puts you off, there are many middle american dishes available as well.

So, Bernalillo is a fair drive, but there are two Range cafes here in Abq. We'll have to test the one on Menaul fairly soon. Might even be near where The Shewolves are staying.

Oh, and the desserts, wowsa display, but we were too stuffed to the gills to order.

Hmm .... gotta enter the ding ding ding of change over jere.

As we stand right now, our finances are stable.. but not stable enough for the whole family to come together.

So it is just me flying solo to new mexico

Oh my gosh, Shewolf and Mame!! The scientists up at Alamagordo will wonder why Albuquerque is suddenly so full of energy.

Rog--ABQ is really named after the Duke of Albuquerque:

In memory of the Duke of Albuquerque, the city is affectionately called the "Duke City." There is still a Duke of Albuquerque residing in Spain. From time to time, he visits his namesake city.

If you like, you can call me Betty if I can call you Al...

Albuquerque is now on "Google street view", too.
