OK,..I know y'all do this. Watch some show that you normally would think is silly or cheesey,..but ya just love it!! Laughing
It's time to come clean,...FESS UP!:

I watch A LOT of bad TV,...makes me laugh!

What I've been watching lately is "Birds of Prey",..the cleavage-ridden story of Batman's daughter,..so far - no good, but I watch anyway.

OK,..I showed you mine,..now you show me yours! Laughing

No. I just watch other people paint. I just find the show incredibly relaxing.
I loved it when Bob would bring a little "creature" to his show.

Well, he had that "ultra laid-back" voice,..almost bordering on creepy,...kind of like Mr. Rogers.

Whispery- And I loved when he cleaned off the brush by banging it onto the easel support. He got such a kick out of it. And that hairdo!!!

Each time a turn on one of those TV instructional painters, I get out the air sick bags. Their techniques are, of course, aimed at Sunday do-it-yourself painters but it would be nice if they didn't make such gross compostional mistakes, it makes picture postcards look like fine art.

My guilty pleasure: Hollywood Squares.

Reruns of Leave It to Beaver. Life was so simple then, even if you had to garden in a dress.

Lightwizard- I disagree about the TV painters. Rembrandts they are not, but they do spark the interest of would be painters. Now, I did not say artist. I mean the housewife who thought that she could never paint a picture, and now she is handing her "artwork" to all her relatives.

I think that TV painters DO have a place in our culture. As a kid, I was fascinated by Jon Nagy. More recently, I liked to watch Helen Van Wyk.

Oh, I love Hollywood Squares. But, my guilty pleasure is (no comments, please, unless they're favorable) reruns of the Ed Sullivan shows on PBS.

Not sure if Mom will appreciate this, but.....

She caught the painting 'bug' from Bob Ross. I'm biased, but I think she's pretty damn good at it! (Three of her paintings are in my bedroom ~ I wish she would do more..... Rolling Eyes )
