I found this sentence rather interesting:
I am an Editor/Ghostwriter and excepted his offer

Not even a little surprised, edgar. I see this kind of thing all the time--from writers when I'm editing, and from editors when I'm proofreading.

The woild is going to hell in a handcart.

@Roberta,
My spelling and expression is going downhill rapidly.

I see so much bad spelling that I am beginning to have to think about whether I am hear or they're.

@edgarblythe,
What? I've excepted several apologies in my lifetime.

I'm currently editing a book that is not very good. Each chapter was written by a different author. Lots of stuff is missing (artwork and tables, mostly).

I started a new chapter. The chapter is there, but where the name of the author of the chapter should go, it says TK (to come).

The chapter is written. How can they not know who wrote it?

Help, thud.

I decided to take the rest of the day off.

@Roberta,
I wonder who edited the Stephen King book "Under the DOme". It had not a few really dumb spelling errers. It appeared that I typed the finel drafft.
Is there any value to a book with final errors that apparently escaped their crack editing crew? SHould I highlight them in yellow and try tosell it on E-bay.?

". . . initiate a three-hundred-and-sixty degree turn of the Washingot, and we'll begin the long journey home."

I found this classic on page 2 of Anne McCaffrey's The Tower and the Hive. I'll probably move on to page 3, once I get past the shock.

I encountered another geographic doozy.

Somebody referred to the country of Hungry. At least there was a capital aitch. Sigh.

Hey, Roger. What's a Washingot? I'm usually good at figuring these out, but I need more context. Could this be Washington? Doesn't really fit the rest of the sentence.

Washingot - resident of Washington, perhaps?

@Roberta,
I imagine it was my own typo. Some sort of space ship. Space ships don't make u-turns, and if they did, 360 degrees would be full circle, leaving it headed exactly where it was before making the turn.
