I'll focus on the good news. Help with your rent is wonderful news!
@Roberta,
Roberta, I just sent you an email with the tracking number.
The package should get there Tuesday..
@sozobe,
Well, now I hope the damn thing works! It did last I tried it.
I had to warn Roberta that it's in a Moen bathroom faucet package...
Three months rent and BP machine - fabulous!

Thanks, foxfyre. Yes, I'm familiar with the site.
Nearly fell over. The social worker who dumped me just got in touch. A place she applied to for assistance months ago just contacted her. It will pay two month's rent.
The new place I'm working with will pay one month's rent and will try to get more.
Although I'll likely still get the eviction notice, I'll be caught up soon. What a meshugina day this has been.
Highs and lows. Ups and downs. People out there trying to help. Me in here being kvetchy. I'm subtracting one phooey from my previous message.
There's still plenty to phooify about. But I'm gonna relax for the rest of the day.

Yes, that's a smile.
Oh my!!!!!
May the rent fly with speedy wings.
Oh my.
I've been away, sorry. Sounds like a combo of phooey and hooray should go out.
Hey osso, I'm very grateful. If it doesn't work, I'm no worse off than I was before. Don't worry about it.
Hey youse guys, Thanks.
Made copies and sent more papers. Trying to relax. It doesn't come easy, especially with a still raw throat. But I'm expanding my eating a bit. Enjoyed walking in the snow, although when I was young and walked in the snow, I didn't worry much about falling down. Today I was careful. But I enjoyed the snow landing on me.
Got my daily quota of work done. Ordered ink from Dell (ich hubse in drerd.) Got the order straightened out.
Although I'll work tomorrow, I'm basically gonna be a lump until Monday. Haven't had a real lump day in a while. I could use some lumping--but then can't we all.
Thinkin about ya Roberta. Good thoughts of course.
@Montana,
Montana, Great to see you again. Thanks for the good thoughts.
Always a pleasure to see my fellow animal loving friend
<keeping those warm thoughts nice and toasty for ya>
@Roberta,
I know - I don't trust relaxing either. But a progression of relaxing can build up to renewed interest and vigor. Of course, money is faster.

So I'm supposed to have my head sawed open in February. I saw the neurosurgeon in Dec., and he told me to make an appointment for Feb. I call to make the appointment only to learn that the next available appointment is in March! Not good. I complain. The person I'm on the phone with says there's nothing she can do. I should talk to a doctor. She gives me a number. I call and leave a message. Made a point of leaving the phone free all afternoon. No call back.
I call again. This time I'm given another number for a doctor. No answer. Do I wanna talk to a supervisor? Sure. Why the hell not. I leave a message. I had little confidence that my call would be returned. I contacted the patient advocate.
She contacted the supervisor. I have an appointment for the end of January. Only took three days and six or seven phone calls. Am I overreacting? Don't care if I am.
Had an appointment today with a throat/swallowing expert. The appointment was for 11. Something weird happened on the way down (trafficwise). I was delayed. I was further delayed when no one was in the cashier's office. By the time I got to my appointment, the expert had left for a meeting. I was 20 minutes late. Okey dokey. Not gonna bring up that I waited 3 1/2 hours last week to get my blood checked. Some are destined to wait, and others are destined to go to meetings.
Met with the social worker who had dumped me and then came through. I was redumped. Okey dokey.
I sent a bunch of stuff to the other social worker. It came back today, postage due.
On the plus side, bananas. As in yes we have no.
Also on the plus side, the BP monitor osso sent me arrived and works. Not gonna mention that the doorman gave it to the wrong tenant, who didn't notice. Not gonna mention that there was a major hunt for several hours to find it. It's here and it works. My BP is still lower than normal.
@Roberta,
Comere, Honey. You need a hug. {{{{Roberta}}}
@Roberta,
Oh Roberta.
It's all much too much.
Here's one from me, too.
(((((((( Roberta))))))))))
@Roberta,
it never rains but.........as they say
given all that, the fact that your BP was good has to count for something (he says taking lemons and........well you know)
Wait.... is lower than normal a GOOD thing in this case? I hope so.
@Roberta,
Oh, man. I just hate tying up my phone for return calls that never happen. Unprofessional.
