@ehBeth,
Il Fornaio used to have an apple baked in a fairly thick dough wrap, the apple stuffed with almond paste, oh lordie. I forget what they called it. Oh, man.
But, never mind..

Roberta, I have an extra BP machine, let me know if you want it. Pretty good one. It's in one of my cartons for my apparently imaginary garage sale, so I won't miss it.

@Izzie,
Ya mean, an email from Izzie, and you're dragged in willy-nilly; like it or not?

I responded to my Facebook invites (I think).

Osso, The BP machine. I'm interested. If you can find it, I'd be grateful if you would send it. Is it too pushy if I say "toot sweet"? Saying it anyway.

The woman I sent the papers to said that it was one of the most organized and well-prepared batches of papers she'd ever received. Nice to hear.

She might be able to get me a whole month's rent in a few weeks. (I'm now two months behind.) In a few weeks means that I'll be behind again. No catching up.

The landlord will likely send an eviction notice next week.

I'm a wreck.

I spoke with my cousin who told me to stop worrying about money and focus on my health. Good advice. My response. How?

Double phooey.

BTW, I had a bunch of blood tests yesterday. Got a phone call today. Normal. I can stop taking all the supplements I've been taking--and paid for.

I tried some citrus. Worried that it might be too sharp. Turns out I couldn't taste a thing. Go figure.

Throwing in a sigh and another phooey.

@Roberta,
Roberta, I'm sure you're familiar with this site, but just in case, here it is again:

Thanks, foxfyre. Yes, I'm familiar with the site.

Nearly fell over. The social worker who dumped me just got in touch. A place she applied to for assistance months ago just contacted her. It will pay two month's rent.

The new place I'm working with will pay one month's rent and will try to get more.

Although I'll likely still get the eviction notice, I'll be caught up soon. What a meshugina day this has been.

Highs and lows. Ups and downs. People out there trying to help. Me in here being kvetchy. I'm subtracting one phooey from my previous message.

There's still plenty to phooify about. But I'm gonna relax for the rest of the day.

Smile Yes, that's a smile.

@Roberta,
I know right where it is. Not sure if I'll use fed ex or post office, fed ex or ups being waaay easier than the post office for me to get to. Don't know if they're open on Saturday. Will keep you informed.

@ossobuco,
You da best, kid. As long as I can monitor my BP, I should be okay. One less thing for me to worry about. Am I gonna run out?

Nah.

@Roberta,
Goody, the local fed ex kinkos will take the package tomorrow. I'll give you the tracking number, et al, when I know it.

@ossobuco,
Found it.

Turned out the extra bp device was in the bathroom cabinet all the time.

I had two since when I moved here I had myriad boxes in storage, and bought a new bp thingamajig in lieu of the other one's indefinite retrieval.
So the one you'll get is sort of cute, has it's own little zipper container and even a set of directions. Who knows, there may even be some of my old bp numbers in its memory. Feel free to clear those if they're there.
