@Roberta,
Perhaps you could overcook some rice with chicken broth instead of water? Have you ever had egg-drop soup ina chinese restaurant? Beat an egg and drizzle it into hot broth. You get soft, thin threads of egg and a lot of broth to help it down.

@Roberta,
Hey Boida...

late here... cold here... was just wondering how you were doing today and thinking some.

Have you managed to crack on with some of the work, distraction.

Just... you know... checking in.

Hugs x

Yup, wondering how the pudding girl is doing.

Was talking to mrs. hamburger about all of this. She lost quite a bit of weight following her surgery - hamburger's been filling her back out again with the help of eggs - they're good stuff.

hmmmmm egg creams. I wonder if they're easy to make?

littlek, Can't eat rice. Found that out in the hospital. Not interested in cooking. But thanks for the suggestion.

Izzie, Taking on work was a mistake. I'm struggling mightily to focus and get things done.

beth, Egg creams are very easy to make. I used to have one every night. Thing of it is, I can no longer eat chocolate or carbonated beverages. BTW, egg creams don't contain eggs.

Eva, I tried yogurt. I can have a very small amount at a time. The taste is strong.

@Roberta,
Soft boiled eggs? Maybe just the whites -- when I was a really strict vegetarian I recall going back to eggs was tough as the yolks were incredibly strong-tasting to me, but the whites were fine.

Cous cous? It's very small pasta. Also pastini or really any kind of noodles for soup, the small kind, like alphabet soup. If you can get whole wheat, that's better re nutrition.

Hang in there Ms. Kvetchstress (trying saying that 3 times fast) Extraordinaire!

mac11 posted an oatmeal custard recipe elsewhere that might work for you

might might might

egg creams don't have eggs. I'll have to read up on that later today.

@ehBeth,
Not gonna cook, bethie. Don't bother hunting.

Egg creams don't have cream either.

I'm guessing that at one time they had both.

Now they're made of chocolate syrup, milk, and seltzer. Great foam.

Then pick a flavor you really like! (Even the vanilla is strong?)

Still ultra-sensitive to cold? What about ice cream?

@Eva,
Vanilla is the only kind I tried. Too strong.

Tried ice cream last night. Threw up.

How's by you?

@Roberta,
Hey kid. Have you hooked up with the Gilda's Club folks yet?

They're probably the best source of easy, appropriate food options for you.

Up here, it's all about the weather now. An interesting time of year - fending off East Coast storms and Ohio Valley storms and Alberta Clippers and Arctic something or others.

Better eating is good.

Currently I am wondering just how I forgot to remember to buy chicken for chicken soup this week (fortunately enough was found in the freezer). Oy, I am losing it.
