I ate a scrambled egg last night. It hurt like hell, but it went down and stayed down. I chewed! I view this a progress even though I still have all the other signs of lousy.
Thanks jes, butrflynet, and mac for the pics and music.
Scramble with more oil. Even brocolli slithers down with enough butter.

I figured if anything or anyone could speed up time, a cheetah would be my pick. Beauty in motion.

Roberta:
This might help:
Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been married. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.
One afternoon, the pastor came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room. She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.
As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a CUT -glass bowl sitting on top of it.
The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom!
When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.
The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist.
'Miss Beatrice', he said, 'I wonder if you would tell me about this?' pointing to the bowl.
'Oh, yes,' she replied, 'Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the Park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground.
The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet
and that it would prevent the spread of disease.
By far one of my favorite foods recently was some sort of lemon orzo thing.
Orso are rice like bits of pasta.
I get it that lemon would be harsh for you, roberta.
I'll do some checking, be back.
What --- orzo can be nice and slippery, and carry flavor, possibly diminishable. I'll googe around.

If you can manage a scrambled egg, you might try rice next, Roberta. That's usually easy on the throat, and it doesn't require much chewing either.

I tried a baked potato tonight. All smooshed up with butter. Too grainy. The pain was awful. I'll try another egg tomorrow.
I can manage some pasta, but what I put on it makes a difference. I may go for spaghetti al burro (spaghetti with butter). Not sure if I'm ready for this yet.
A creamy risotto (with no bitey bits included)? A little over-cooked might also help?

Whipped potatoes might be worth a try. Butter, a little half and half.
Boil some little white onions with a some chard or spinach then liquefy them all in a blender. While you are whipping the potatoes, add a half a cup of the onion/greeny liquid. Makes a nice flavor and no lumps.
I'm thankful to be here talking with you, Roberta.

I'm gonna be staying away from potatoes for a while. I'm also avoiding anything requiring work. I have no energy. Taste is irrelevant. Everything tastes horrible.
I do appreciate you suggestions and kind thoughts.
