Surgery--Again

It's completely wet, grey and miserable here today - rain, rain and more rain - inches of the droplets filling up the river.

By the end of today...4 zaps left!

Got the IV today. Yes, one of the nurses managed to get the needle in. Hoping tomorrow will be better.

Hadn't eaten or slept in several days. Feeling even lousier than usual. Made chicken soup--the store-bought kinds were inedible. Had some broth. Felt good.

Found some pain pills from last year's surgery. Crushed and got them down with chocolate pudding. Finally slept. Felt good.

Missing Mikey the Monster Cat something fierce this past week. Don't know why. I remember him and smile. Remembering how he used to rub his head on the bottom of my bare feet. This always made me laugh.

Four days left, but who's counting?

WE ARE ALL COUNTING.

And we all miss Mikey.

Yay re chicken soup and pain pills.

Great about the chicken soup. I know I keep prattling on about the soup, but I'm a believer. Good good good stuff for whatever ails you.

You drinking enough other stuff? Water, whatever?

If soup broth feels good, does other warm fluids? Tea, lemon with honey, that sort of thing?

Stay hydrated!

Can't tell you what it did for my spirits when Thomas came to visit me in the hospital. What a guy.

The zaps end on Wednesday, the day after my birthday.

For my birthday this year I'm going to the Department of Motor Vehicles to renew my nondriver's license. Can hardly wait.

Yes, bethie, the zaps are coming to an end. Major, major. Can't tell you how I look forward to the side effects disappearing. Can't wait

But I'm not looking for any major good things yet. Still have a tumor in my head. Gotta find out what' gonna happen with that.

Still gotta find out whether the zaps worked.

I am not an easy person to make positive.
