well, there are definitely bagels and then there are bagels
being shaped like a bagel doesn't make something a bagel

I still think the best option is to find a good Turkish simit - then you'll know what a bagel is supposed to be.

You eat one bagel and all of a sudden you're and expert.

@Izzie,
I'm not sure I know how I am. I finished taking my meds. Now I have to see how I feel. Any symptoms, etc. So far, kinda yes and kinda no.

I've enjoyed bagels and I've tossed bagels. Non Semper Pillsbury.

I ate a cuppla bagels in New York and thought they were meh! I don't know if they were good or bad, or if that is how bagels should be - but they were meh! They did improve a fraction when I added Vegemite.

Certainly no expert - but it's enough to drag Bethie Bagel out! Smile

@glitterbag,
Don’t knock it until you try it!

I’ve always been eh about vegemite but sometimes vegemite, on thickly buttered something, is wonderful.

Preferably on thickly buttered something with holes, so you can squish two of them together and make vegemite and butter worms.

A little vegemite goes a long way.

I finished taking my medication last Friday. The symptoms are returning. I tried reaching my doctor. It's unlikely that I'll get through to him, so I might end up in the ER again.

(Insert dirty words of your own choosing.)

@Roberta,
Drat it!
Sorry to see this turn of events. Here's hoping it's just a blip as the trouble maker tries one more time before departing.

@Sturgis,
I actually heard from my doctor's office. They phoned in a new prescription for me. $1300 after insurance. I had to decline.

I'll probably end up back in the ER.

@Roberta,
Disgusting. Very sorry to hear this.

If you go to ER will you be supplied with the medication you need for free?

Or at least for a reasonable price?

It's likely that the doc will represcribe the med I've been taking. I won't know until Friday.

If I go to the ER there's a chance that I'll be given the expensive scrip, but I still won't be able to get it once I leave the hospital so what's the pernt? While I'm in the hospital, I would be given the medication and it would be added to the overall cost.

I won't leave Noo Yawk. No way I'm gonna leave an entire country. And if I were to leave, how in the hell could I possibly pay for a move? No pernt to this discussion. I ain't going.

@Roberta,
This just ain't right this sort of situation. Medication costs are too far beyond the reach of the average person. (Said so myself this past week when a required med zipped up by $22 dollars per month).

Not glad about you having to be going to the ER, but am glad it exists (I'm trying to be positive here)

Thoughts are with you, grab some strength from the lot of us.
